Young Lionesses to play at Shrewsbury

England WU23s will welcome the Netherlands to the Croud Meadow Stadium for the first home fixture of 2026.

The match will be played on Friday 6 March, kicking off at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-14s, and can be purchased directly from the club or via wembleystadium.com/tickets.

Shropshire has become a familiar home for the Young Lionesses, with Shrewsbury Town hosting WU23s fixtures in each of the past two seasons. Michelle Agyemang netted the decisive goal in a 1-0 win over Portugal in October 2024, while a side featuring Aggie Beever-Jones, Laura Blindkilde Brown, Grace Clinton, Missy Bo Kearns, Ruby Mace and Jess Naz, who have all gone on to become senior Lionesses, defeated Belgium 3-0 in September 2023.

The WU23s last played the Netherlands in the opening match of the 2024-25 season in a 1-1 draw away in Escharen, with Blindkilde Brown on target for the Young Lionesses.
