East Midlands League
The First Round of the League Cup took place on Sunday and two Division One teams managed to take Premier Division scalps, including Division One South leaders New Bradwell St Peter who defeated Mansfield Town 2-1, thanks to Cara Brooker and Emily Hale. Leicester City Ladies meanwhile ran out 4-1 winners over SJR Worksop, Anna Whitehead netting twice along with Lola Barrett and Lily Moore. Wellingborough Town took Ilkeston Town all the way to a penalty shootout, where Ilkeston emerged as 5-4 victors. League leaders Chesterfield were 2-0 winners away to Brookside Athletic, Imogen Fowler and Sophie Marshall scoring their goals, while Tilly Hallas-Potts, Amy Nelson, Nicole Kemp and Sadie Smith took Sheffield FC to a 4-0 victory at Nottingham Trent University. Remi White, Ruby Saunders, Megan Kenney and Monique Price were all on the scoresheet as Anstey Nomads won 4-1 against Notts County Development and Rotherham Utd defeated Dronfield Town 8-2, Alesha Gale and Jessica Jones each netting hat-tricks along with a Delia Hurdiss brace. Stamford AFC Women won 5-2 against Long Eaton Utd thanks to a Laura Dodwell hat-trick, Ellen Marson and Andreia Oliveira, while Basford Utd beat Sleaford Town 5-2, their markswomen were Natasha Leach (2), Georgia Gladwin, Laura Porritt and Emma Scoffham. Yasmine Uppal netted twice and Kitty Ward the other as Arnold Eagles defeated Buxton FC Women 3-0 whilst Asfordby Amateurs beat Sherwood FC Women by the same scoreline, courtesy of a Sarah Brown brace and Ashleigh Evans. Jenna White and Halle Blackwell gave Bugbrooke St Michael a 2-1 success at Chesterfield FC Women whilst Thrapston Town had a fine day at Grimsby Borough, winning 4-1 with Amelia Boddington (2), Abby Callaghan and Emily Slough all on the scoresheet. Beth Wharton was on target four times for Grimsby Town Academy in their 8-1 defeat of Belper Town, with Abbie-May Emslie (2), Chloe Thorpe and Laura Flecknor adding the others. Beth Clark (2), Sommer Button and Grace Bradford accounted for the goals as West Bridgford Colts won 4-2 away to Cardea Ladies and Loughborough Foxes Vixens edged out Newport Pagnell Town by the odd goal in seven, Ruby Freer bagging a brace along with Amelie Johnson and Isabel Sheridan. Chisom Agbanelo and Ella Bailey were on target for River City in their 2-0 victory over Northampton Town Development.
Eastern Region League
Royston Town ran out 8-1 winners over Needham Market to preserve their lead of six points at the top of the Premier Division, Laura Mills and Neve Mayes each scoring twice along with Jessica Morley, Emma Slater, Riana Badal and Lily Hall. Natasha Fensome netted the only goal of the game for second placed Luton Town as they beat Enfield Town 1-0. Olivia Syson, Kiera Ward and Francesca Grazioli were on target for St Albans City in their 3-0 victory against Haringey Borough and they are up to third, moving ahead of Stevenage Women who shared a 2-2 draw with Wroxham. Matilda Thomas-O’Keefe and Amy Makewell scored for Stevenage, with Wroxham netting through Hannah Fuller and Becca Russell. Watford Development and Bowers & Pitsea finished level at 1-1, goals coming from Noemie Ramsell and Darcy Drewitt respectively. Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers meanwhile won 3-0 at Cambridge City courtesy of Rosie George, Jessica Harper and an own goal.
Division One North leaders Harpenden Town have doubled their advantage to six points with a 4-1 victory over previously unbeaten Histon. Belle Shannon (2), Erin Shacklock and Sophia Amanor all scored for Harpenden, with Jessica McCrae replying. Second placed AFC Dunstable also lost for the first time, 2-1 to Newmarket Town whose scorers were Millie Docking and Katie Spiers. First half goals from Emily Johnson (2) and Jenna Nairn earned Whittlesey Athletic a 3-2 victory against Stevenage Women Development who fought back with two goals after the break, whilst Real Bedford Res scored six times without reply past Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses with Zara Carroll bagging a brace, along with Ocean Gregory, Lauren Hawkins, Sophie Mulvihill and Lily Gladstone.
Southend Utd stay on top of Division One South but their lead has been cut to a single point following their 1-1 draw with Hertford Town. Chloe Woolaway scored the goal which keeps them at the summit, with Hertford netting through Charlie Mills. Colney Heath are up to second place, they won 2-0 at Chelmsford City with Samaira Khan scoring both goals. Daisy Canny hit a hat-trick and Lucy Critchell weighed in with a brace, and there was one apiece from Charlotte Butt and Abigail Clarke as Hutton ran out 7-0 winners over Romford Town Flyers, meanwhile Bridgette Allen and Jade Horne were the markswomen for Stanway Pegasus Ladies as they beat Wormley Rovers 2-1.
Biggleswade Utd booked their place in the Second Round of the League Cup after Katie Harrington-Pike and Amy Josland gave them a 2-0 victory away to Frontiers. The other team to progress were Thetford Town, who defeated Toby Ladies 3-1 thanks to Melissa Boulton, Shannon Chandler and Alice Collins.
London & South East League
Dorking Wanderers are still stretching the pace in the early part of the season and their 4-2 victory over Barking keeps them a point clear. Helen Ogle netted twice along with Abby Delves and Rebecca Sargent, whilst second placed Saltdean Utd defeated Ashford Utd 6-0 thanks to a Molly Hill hat-trick, Georgia Bridges, Beth Creese and Kirsty Barton. Sophie Manzi and Catherine Beaver scored the goals as Fulham won 2-1 at Sport London e Benfica to go back into the top three, whilst Ebbsfleet Utd moved up the table by beating Haywards Heath Town 5-2, courtesy of a goal apiece from Logan O’Shea, Maddie Reynolds, Millie Waud, Lydia Wills and Millie Chapman. Ciara Watling bagged both goals for Millwall Lionesses in their 2-2 draw with Sutton Utd, who netted through Eden Clark and Amelia Cutler.
Division One North leaders Brentford did not play on Sunday and Dulwich Hamlet Res were unable to take the chance to replace them as they were beaten 2-1 by Richmond & Kew, Jessica Roberts and Florence Bent scoring their goals. This allowed Leatherhead to go up to second on the back of a 2-1 success against Hackney in which Kacie-May Harlow and Leila Ayimba-Golding were on target. An extraordinary match saw Denham Utd emerge as 9-6 winners over AFC Whyteleafe, Jenny Nagle netting four times along with Sofia Harris (2), Annie Hewitt, Rachel Keightley and Dadrian Kennedy. Spare a though though for ‘Leafe striker Leen Winner Ekwo who scored all six goals for her side, but still ended up on the losing side. Taiyah Evans (2), Rebekah Higgins, Maria Mendonca and Aimee Shaw were all on target for Clapton Community in their 5-1 victory against Richmond Park.
Another week, another win for Saltdean Utd Developmentas they extended their Division One South lead even further to fourteen points with a 2-1 win at Herne Bay, Emily Towner and Annabel Worcester giving them their eighth straight victory. Chloe Brian, Rebecca Keyte and Rebecca Elsley scored the goals as Aylesford defeated Bexhill Utd 3-0 to hold on to second, narrowly ahead of Bognor Regis Town who won 5-2 away to Montpelier Villa thanks to Millie Carter (2), Rhiannon Hambleton (2) and Jenna Fowlie, and Steyning Town Community, 4-0 victors over Hastings Utd with goals from Lauren Tyler (2), Amber Hazlewood and Jodie Pallant. Soccer Elite Football Academy meanwhile continued their improvement by beating Three Bridges 3-0 with strikes from Storm Arnold, Ellie-Mae Hogan and Ella Bowyer.
North East League
A first half goal from Eve Jones gave Chester-le-Street Town a 1-0 victory away to Ponteland Utd and this has seen them open up a two point lead over South Shields, who went second following their 3-3 draw with Bradford City. Maria McKenna and Hannah Markey both scored for Bradford along with an own goal, while Shields netted through Becki McMahon, Sophie Greener and Ashley Townsend. Autumn Colledge (2), Holly Doogan, Hannah Knox, Lily-Mae Jackson and Jessica Dawson accounted for the goals as Spennymoor Town defeated Harrogate Town 6-0 and Sunderland West End edged out York RI 3-2 courtesy of Pavanjot Kaur, Isla Maggs and Emily Howe. Wallsend Boys Club chalked up their second league win of the season, 3-1 against Hull Utd with Lily Walker, Chloe Adam and Nicole Dack all on the scoresheet.
Norton & Stockton Ancients Res have opened up a lead of five points at the top of the Northern Division after a Grace Campbell double gave them a 2-1 victory over Washington FC Women. Sophie Curle hit a hat-trick and Daisy Swash the other as Thornaby Women won 4-2 away to previously unbeaten Consett Ladies to lift themselves into second, ahead of Gateshead FC Ladies who went down to a 5-2 defeat at Hartlepool Utd, a goal apiece from Emily Booth, Morgan Johnson, Zara Johnson, Libbie Trainor and Charlie Geary earning the home side their first win of the season. Rachel Hepple (2) and Kirsty Gillis were the markswomen for Wallsend BC Res as they beat i2i International Soccer Academy 3-2 and CLS Amazons netted six times without reply past Bishop Auckland, courtesy of a Katelyn Mitchell brace, Amy Wharton, Rebecca Middlemas, Sophie Lemon and Lydia Ward. Doubles from Tanisha Peake and Lily West took Chester-le-Street Utd to a 4-1 success away to Redcar Town.
Debbie Hastings hit a hat-trick and Chelsea Schofield added the other as Ossett Utd preserved their three point lead in the Southern Division with a 4-1 victory over Brunsmeer Athletic, from Leeds Modernians who ran out 6-0 winners against Sheffield Wednesday, Sadyha Akhtar scoring a hat-trick with others from Matilda Beckley, Leah Garbutt and Aimee Myers. Olivia Sellars netted the only goal of the game as York City Development beat Kiveton Park 1-0 and Sheffield Utd Community Foundation were also 1-0 victors over Altofts Ladies thanks to Georgie Owen. In contrast, Handsworth won a high scoring affair 7-5 against Lower Hopton, Abby Watkinson bagging a four-goal haul along with Abbie South (2) and Katie Jepson.
North West League
Wythenshawe Women returned to league action with an incredible goal spree against Bury FC Women, Feiruz Abdullahi leading the scoring with five to her name. Beth Tattersall hit a hat-trick and Chelsea Flanagan weighed in with a brace, while Kirsty Chambers, Philippa Wakefield, Ciara Boylan, Grace Bradley, Emily Marsh and Corie Mather also got on the scoresheet. Second placed Darwen FC Women notched up their sixth win in a row, beating FC United of Manchester 4-1 thanks to a Maddison McKenna hat-trick and Abigail Brown. Curzon Ashton were held to a 1-1 draw by Salford City Lionesses, who scored through Jess Battle, meanwhile Anya McCready and Laura Williams were on target for Tranmere Rovers as they shared four goals with Fleetwood Town Wrens, Kristin Boos bagging a double in reply. West Didsbury & Chorlton continued their improvement with a second straight win, 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra thanks to Avilla Bergin and Evie Davies.
Bolton Wanderers made a swift return to the top of Division One North after scoring nine without reply past Hindley Juniots Women, Jessica Lightfoot was on target four times along with Milla Hodson (2), Katie Holt, Eboni McIlmoyle and Maisy Mitchell. Previous leaders Penrith AFC Ladies went down to a 3-1 defeat away to Preston North End who scored through Emma Tunstall, Madison Hadley and Abbie Jones, meanwhile Accrington Stanley kept up their good start by beating Morecambe 8-0, Melissa Adamson hitting a hat-trick along with Grace Hindley (2), Ellie Rice (2) and Lily Edmondson. Sophie Coates netted twice and Molly Kay the other as Radcliffe FC Women won 3-2 at Blackpool and Fleetwood Town Wrens Res defeated Atherton Laburnum Rovers 2-0 thanks to two goals from Ruby Farrell. Workington Town claimed their second win of the season, 2-1 against Haslingden with Sarah Smith and Tiegan Hargrave on target.
Poulton Vics keep up the pace in Division One South, staying three points clear with a 3-1 win at Chester FC Women whilst second placed FC St Helens beat Ellesmere Port Town 4-2 thanks to Ashley Beard (2), Rebecca Barker and Sophie Griffiths. Wigan Athleic were 1-0 victors over Macclesfield FC Women and they follow on along with Runcorn Linnets who won 4-2 against Wirral Phoenix with Molly Hewitt (2), Chloe Fairclough and Emma McLarney on the scoresheet. Ceri Ogdon netted twice and Olivia Ellinson the other as Mossley Hill won 3-0 at Warrington Town and MSB Woolton defeated Litherland Remyca 5-1, Catrin Evans and Katie Thomas each scoring twice along with Robyn Wilson.
South West League
Premier Division leaders Forest Green Rovers did not play on Sunday and their advantage has been trimmed to two points by two teams, headed by Torquay Utd who ran up a large victory against AFC St Austell, including hat-tricks from Emily Elliott and Lucy Solloway. Ellie Bishop added a brace and there was one each from Natascha Bevan, Tracey Cross, Lexie Watts and Chloe Williams. Marine Academy Plymouth made a quick return to winning ways, 5-0 at Frampton Rangers courtesy of Elizabeth Overton (2), Amy Pridham (2) and Carmen Morison. Aimee Kingdon netted twice along with Lily McNally, Ellie Orritt and Jodi Cornwall as Ilminster Town defeated Bishop’s Lydeard 5-2 to move themselves up to fourth, ahead of Sherborne Town who looked to be on their way to victory when Charlotte Harmer and Sarah Lewendon put them two goals ahead at Pucklechurch Sports but injury time goals from Hannah Dix and Amy Jefferies earned the home side a 2-2 draw. Lucy Atkinson was on target four times as AEK Boco claimed their first league victory of the season, 7-0 over Poole Town with Emilie Channing-Cone also adding two and Jodie Hooper also on the scoresheet.
Bitton are the new leaders of Division One North, replacing St Vallier on goal difference after winning their meeting 5-0. Abbie Woodley-Marshall netted two of the goals and she was joined on the scoresheet by Mary Brittain, Isabella Williams and Anna Munday to complete a good few days for their side. Gloucester City are a single point off the pace after recording a third straight win, 2-1 against Cirencester Town. Sachiko Kaneko-Grun and Chloe Golding were both on target for City, with Clare Hill replying. Adella Clarke (2), Erin Duffy and Erin Watkins netted the goals as Bath City Women beat Corsham Town 4-2 to climb up to fourth, Gabby Menghini was on target twice for the visitors. SGS Olveston Utd meanwhile notched up their first league win of the season, 5-3 against Downend Flyers thanks to a Leah Jennings hat-trick, Emily Wolfe and Rosanna Blacker, while Annabel Bean, Grace Smith and Johanna Grossteinbeck replied for the visitors and a second half goal from Jessica Abbott earned Paulton Rovers a 1-1 draw against Royal Wootton Bassett Town, who had taken a half time lead through Hannah Gulliver.
Weymouth held on to the leadership of Division One South after bouncing back from defeat seven days earlier to beat Bideford 4-1. All of the goals came in the second half, Emily Screen bagging a hat-trick for the Terras and Ruby Clark adding the other, with Jasmine Wellman replying. Saltash Utd stayed level on points with Weymouth by scoring six times without reply at Honiton Town, Hayley Ranachan on target twice along with Jade Bryan, Olivia Lennox, Samantha Reid and Libby Jennings. Plympton Ladies are the other side in the division which still has a 100% records, which they preserved with a 4-0 victory over Feniton thanks to Elsa Finnegan (2), Bella Brown-Tunnell and Sam Metters. Yeovil Town continue to climb the table after recording a second win in a row, 2-1 against Weston-super-Mare. Abbie Carslake and Becky Miles both scored for the Glovers, whilst the visitors’ consolation came from Natasha Crew.
Southern Region League
The top of the table clash went the way of leaders Ascot Utd, who ran out 4-1 winners over Oxford City. Beth Lloyd netted twice along with Charlie Torry and Chloe Ball to put Ascot four ahead at the break, before City grabbed a consolation through Emma Donohoe. Woodley Utd therefore move up into second place after Sarah Lawrence (2) and Chloe Melton gave them a 3-0 success away to Selsey Women. Natalie Bavister, Sophie Bell, Brooke Marshall and Charlotte Keenan all scored a goal apiece for AFC Portchester in their 4-1 win against Reading FC Community Trust and Wycombe Wanderers defeated Badshot Lea 5-0 with Bobby Lynch, Kayla Potter, Jessica Watkins, Eman Kassem and Ellen Wardlaw accounting for the goals. Winchester City Flyers meanwhile won for the first time, 3-0 over Sholing with goals from Annie Northwood, Libby Wilkinson and Charlie Snelling.
Sarah Davern and Lucy Casey each scored twice, with Nicole Brown and Dominique Carrington adding the others, as Beaconsfield Town ran out 6-0 winners away to Caversham Utd to open up a lead of six points. Penn & Tylers Green are up into second, they beat Tilehurst Panthers 5-1 thanks to Ellie Ludgate-Williams (2), Olivia Baden, Sarah Harrison and Henna Hussain. Ascot Utd complete the top three as they also won 5-1, against Abingdon Utd Development with Sarah Jones hitting a double, others coming from Tiffany Skinner, Keren Banduka and Leah Robertson. Erin Ball, Olivia Ward and Kiera Isaac were all on target for Kidlington Youth as they shared a 3-3 draw with Wycombe Wanderers U23, who responded with a Shannon Read brace and Sophie Harvey. April England, Mollie Dyer and Caitlin Kemp accounted for the goals as Milton Utd won for the first time, 3-0 against Slough Town.
Wimborne Town made a quick return to the top of Division One South after they defeated QK Southampton 4-0, courtesy of a goal apiece from Rhiannon Short, Ellie Chaffe, Sheree Bell-Jack and Holly Weaver-Coles. Previous leaders AFC Stoneham were beaten for the first time, 7-3 by Fleet Town who clim above them into second place. Keira Simpson, Isabella Moffett and Lily Martin all netted twice for Fleet, with Olivia Cervino also on target. Havant & Waterlooville were 2-0 winners away to Woking, a result which lifts them into fourth, whilst Kirby Anderson, Sophie Moore and Paris Payne gave Bursledon a 3-1 victory over AFC Varsity.
West Midlands League
There was a change of leadership at the top with Shifnal Town taking over at the top after edging out Knowle by the odd goal in seven. Maria Bell, Jenna Boddison, Minnie Cottrell all scored a goal apiece to take Shifnal ahead of Coundon Court who were beaten for the first time, 2-0 by Kidderminster Harriers whose scorers were Eloise Harris and Senna Robinson. Burton Albion lie just behind the leading sides following their 3-1 victory over Coventry Sphinx, courtesy of a goal apiece from Skye Lakin-Wright, Farrah Hoyle and Maddie Fews. First half goals from Philippa Wilson and Madison Jones gave Shrewsbury Town a 2-1 win against Port Vale and Leek Town completed a full set of home wins in the division, 3-2 against Alvechurch with goals from Katie Maya, Alanya Tezgel and Jasmine Smith.
Division One North leaders Walsall Wood did not play on Sunday and they have been joined on nine points by Eccleshall FC Women, who recovered from defeat seven days earlier to beat Walsall FC Women 2-1 with strikes from Taylor Wright and Kiera Willdigg. Hednesford Town now follow on after scoring ten times without reply past Leek Town Res and AFC Telford Utd also claimed a first win, 5-0 at Newcastle Town courtesy of Abi Beady (2), Megan Jones, Abby White and Charlotte Budd. Lichfield City got off the mark with a 3-1 success away to Tamworth, Courtney Dilger scoring a hat-trick.
Redditch Borough are the new leaders of Division One South after Millie Connolly-Heath (2), Maisie McDonnell, Kathryn Pagan, Esther Lau-Mackaay and Violet Pugh took them to a 6-0 victory over Solihull Moors Res. Halesowen Town defeated Hereford Pegasus 6-2 and are level on points in second place, Kirsty Roberts on target twice along with Kirsty Spencer, Sydney Harris, Katie Robinson and Beth Taylor. Redditch Utd had started the day on top and although they remain unbeaten, they are back in third following a 2-2 draw with Droitwich Spa. Humera Ashfaq scored both goals for United, with Isabelle Gibbons and Lisa Preece replying. Dani Selmes bagged a four-goal haul, with Amber Aslam and Charley Skidmore adding the others, as Crusaders won 6-0 against Leamington Lions and Long Itchington belatedly began their league season by beating Bromsgrove Sporting 5-0 with Georgia Conway (2), Abigail Hastings, Lauren Jones and Stav Williams on target.
