Wales announce squad for MIMA Cup

Natalie Lawrence has named her Wales squad for the MIMA Cup taking place in February.

The MIMA Cup is an annual international WU17 football tournament held at the Pinatar Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar.

The tournament aims to showcase emerging talent, foster camaraderie among young female athletes, promote women’s football and provide opportunities for growth and development in the sport.

Wales will face the USA in their opening match on Monday 9 February (KO 7.30pm), with their second match taking place on Thursday 12 February against either Scotland or Morocco (KO TBC).

Wales could then face either England, Norway, Poland or Mexico in their final match of the tournament on Saturday 14 February (KO TBC).

Participation in the MIMA Cup will aid preparations for their 2025-26 UEFA WU17 EURO qualifying fixtures in March where they will face the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia in south Wales.
