Tiree Burchill signs new Hibernian contract

Hibernian FC Women is pleased to confirm that Tiree Burchill has signed a one-year contract extension with the Club.   

With the 21-year-old’s deal set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season, Burchill has put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will run until Summer 2027.

The forward joined Hibernian Women in July 2025 following a short spell with Partick Thistle, whom she scored her first Hibs goals against in August 2025 - finding the net twice in a 5-0 win at Petershill Park.

Burchill was voted the Hibernian Women Young Player of the Year for the 2025/26 campaign, having made 33 appearances and scored seven goals throughout her impressive first season in Leith.

Standout performances in Green and White have also seen Burchill receive international recognition, with the attacker playing regularly for Scotland Under-23s across the 2025-26 season.

After agreeing to the new contract, Tiree said: “I'm delighted to extend my contract here. I've really enjoyed my first year here at the Club and to stay for another year, I'm really happy about that.

"Coming in last year, I really wanted to develop a lot as a player, and as a person, and I think I've done that. Looking to next season, I think there's a lot of learning for me still to do and I'm really looking forward to it."

Hibs Women Head Coach Joelle Murray commented: “It’s fantastic that Tiree has committed to the Club for another season. She impacted many games last season across the European and domestic campaigns, and we believe next season she will continue to thrive, grow and develop in this environment.

“I’m excited to watch that closely, and I'm looking forward to working with her once again.”
