Scottish Women’s Premier League
Glasgow City remain top of the SWPL but saw their lead narrowed after a 1-1 draw with Celtic at home.
The league leaders dominated much of the contest but were pegged back late on.The opening quarter was evenly matched, but City gradually built pressure. Emily Whelan sent an effort over the bar, while Lisa Forrest's shot was blocked by Celtic defender Tara O'Hanlon inside the box. A lengthy stoppage occurred in the first half when Forrest caught Emma Lawton on the side of the head, forcing the Celtic right back off to be replaced by new signing Maddi Wilde.
City broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute courtesy of a goalkeeping error. Lisa Rodgers spilled the ball on her six yard line, allowing Nicole Kozlova to tap home. Celtic responded impressively, equalising ten minutes later through Morgan Cross' clinical finish from Maria McAneny’s precise delivery.
City goalkeeper Lee Gibson produced a fine late save to deny McAneny from a free kick just before the whistle. The point keeps City top, but Hearts have closed the gap to three points. Celtic's draw saw them drop to fourth after Rangers' emphatic victory elsewhere.
Hearts surged to second in the table with a dominant 6-0 victory over Aberdeen at Oriam, effectively ending the visitors' hopes of a top six finish. Georgia Timms opened the scoring with a powerful header from a corner within the first half hour, then doubled her tally from the penalty
spot after Jenna Slattery was fouled in the box. Slattery, who assisted the first and won the penalty
for the second, added a stunning third just before half time with a rocket into the top corner.
Carly Johns made it four early in the second half, converting at the second attempt after her initial shot was saved. Kayla Jardine slotted in a fifth with under fifteen minutes remaining, before Slattery completed the rout with her second of the match.
The result leaves Aberdeen more than three points adrift of top-six rivals with one game left before the split. Hearts' win capitalised on the City-Celtic stalemate to move level on points with Celtic but ahead on goal difference or other tiebreakers.
Rangers kept the pressure on the leading pack with an 11-0 thrashing of Hamilton Academical. Laura Berry's first-half hat-trick – including two goals in the space of a minute – helped Rangers to an eight-goal half time lead. Further strikes from Katie Wilkinson, Li Mengwen, May Cruft, and a Mia McAulay brace contributed to the rout. Sophie Black added a ninth early in the second half with a powerful drive from the edge of the box, Wilkinson grabbed her second direct from a free kick for the tenth, and Calliste Brookshire rounded off the scoring in the closing stages. The result bolsters Rangers' position in the title conversation.
Hibernian secured a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Meadowbank Stadium, handing Joelle Murray her second victory since taking charge and keeping alive their push among the chasing pack. Kirsty Morrison opened the scoring after 22 minutes, latching onto Hannah Jordan's pass, rounding the goalkeeper, and slotting home. Kathleen McGovern doubled the advantage in the second half after Morrison intercepted a loose pass and cut back for McGovern to finish emphatically.
Montrose's wait for top six confirmation continues after a 2-1 defeat to Partick Thistle. Imogen Longcake put Thistle ahead after 19 minutes, smashing home the rebound following Lauren Perry's save. Isla Taylor doubled the lead shortly after, finishing coolly into the bottom corner from Erin Rennie's pass. Sophie Martin pulled one back for Montrose just before half time, getting a vital touch in a goalmouth scramble. Despite the response, Montrose could not complete a comeback, suffering their tenth league defeat. Thistle, in seventh, trail Montrose by just one point heading into the final pre-split round of fixtures.

Spartans are still two further points adrift in fourth following their 2-1 success away to Livingston.
