The Regional Leagues
East Midlands League
Newly promoted Grimsby Town Academy made a strong start to life in the Premier Division when they won 5-0 away to Gainsborough Trinity on the opening day of the season. Beth Wharton and Alisha Dejonge each netted twice, with Alicia Davis adding the other, to get their side off to the perfect start. Millie Mellors and Summer Oliff accounted for the goals as Mansfield Town won 2-0 against Nottingham Trent University and Lincoln Women started well, Olivia Smith giving them a 1-0 success at Stamford AFC Women. Bradie Wild and Jessica Frick were on target for Doncaster Rovers Belles as they shared a 2-2 draw against SJR Worksop, who netted through Chelsea Bailey and Rachael Bell, whilst last season's runners-up Loughborough Foxes Vixens battled out a 1-1 draw with Newport Pagnell Town, Molly Hicks scoring their goal and Kelsey Mugford replying.
There were no games in the other divisions because of the Women's FA Cup.
Eastern Region League
It has been a busy week in the Premier Division and it has resulted in a change of leadership, with Royston Town opening up a lead of four points. Frankie Pim netted twice and Ailsa Heal the other as they won 3-1 at Watford Development and they followed this up in midweek by beating Harpenden Town 1-0, Pim again on target. Despite being defeated 5-3 by Atletico London on the weekend, Brooke Haylock hitting a hat-trick along with Iesha Swaby and Ammarah Ali, Brentwood Town bounced back to win 3-2 against Bowers & Pitsea to go second. Haringey Borough had started the weekend as leaders but went down to their first defeat, 5-1 at Harpenden Town whose markswomen were Sophia Amanor (2), Chloe Farrell, Seryan Kabongo and Jordan Rockall. Charlotte Freestone, Laura Leyland and Evie Nicholls fired Histon to a 3-0 win against Wroxham before their midweek meeting with AFC Sudbury finished goalless. Watford Development recovered from defeat to beat St Albans City 3-1 thanks to Amelie Elliott, Jada-Chey'ah Graham and Shekhinah Gitu. Bowers & Pitsea won 2-0 at AFC Sudbury on the weekend courtesy of Whitney Locke and Sophie Hart whilst Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers ran out 4-1 winners over St Albans City, goals coming from Millie Baggott, Lauren Baxter, Abbie Gilchrist and Leilah Gooding and they followed this up with a 1-1 draw against Wroxham, Jessica Armstrong scoring their goal.
One match was played in Division One North on Sunday, Chloe Gregory (2) and Poppy Young netting the goals as Stevenage Women Res won 3-2 against Real Bedford Development. Meanwhile in midweek, Luton Town Development opened up a six point lead at the top with a 3-1 victory over Dunstable, with Chloe Fletcher, Princess Mgbemere and Jasmin Cemal netting a goal each. Stevenage followed up their midweek win by beating Hitchin Belles 2-0 with Tegan Wilson and Poppy Clarry on target, whilst Abbie Corbyn and Cerys Bithall scored for Newmarket Town in their 2-2 draw with Cambridge City, who are still unbeaten.
Southend Utd recorded a second win in three matches in Division One South when beating Wormley Rovers 4-2 with goals from Georgia Hyland (2), Darcy Drewitt and Abbey Dell. Five teams are now level on points at the top, including Southend and Hertford Town, Elissa Morris having given them a 1-0 win over AFC Welwyn. Chelise Fleming netted a brace for Enfield Town in their 2-2 draw with Wormley Rovers, for whom Ciara Purdue was on target twice.
London & South East League
Ashley Cheatley bagged a hat-trick, Maddie Phillips added two and the others came from Wiktoria Kiszkis and Abbi Smith as leaders Brentford won 7-2 away to Hammersmith. The Bees still head the table by two points from Bromley who defeated Ashford Town (Middlesex) 6-2 thanks to Chana Hinds (2), Beth Hull, Eleanor Hutchings, Jacey Lane and Charlotte Lee. Barking are up to third, on Sunday they beat Aylesford 3-0 with goals from Charley Clifford, Grace Hall and Shawna Harvey , following .this up in midweek with a 2-0 success against Millwall Lionesses, Harvey again on target twice. K'shaela Burch-Waldron, Georgia Heasman and Amelia Cutler were the markswomen for Sutton Utd in their 3-2 win at Eastbourne Borough whilst Newhaven defeated Dorking Wanderers 4-0 with strikes from Miley Moore, Ellie O'Callaghan, Isabelle Wheatley and Chloe Winchester. Worthing won for the first time, 3-2 against Millwall Lionesses with goals from Amber Hazlewood, Sophia Wickenden and Annabelle Gracey.
Only one match was played in Division One North, and it didn't produce any goals! Dulwich Hamlet Res played host to Actonians Res and whilst there were no goals on the day, the point was enough to see Hamlet take over at the top of the table.
In Division One South, Steyning Town Community came back from two goals down at the interval to draw 2-2 with leaders Saltdean Utd Development. Chloe Higham netted a second half brace to earn Steyning a point after Saltdean had led at the break through Neve Cadle and Mia Hutchison. Saltdean have been joined at the top by Ashmount Leigh, who ran out 6-0 winners away to Hastings Utd courtesy of Rosanne Fine (2), Isla Shaw (2), Beth Roche and Natalie Stephenson.
North East League
Alnwick Town took the opening day honours in the Premier Division when they won 6-2 against Harrogate Town. Sophie Greener and Catherine Johnston were both on target alongside Francesca Takher and Ellie White. Lauryn Wilcock, Hannah McWilliams, Jasmine Saxton and Sophia Swan all scored as Rotherham Utd won 4-1 at South Shields in their first match since switching to the league and Ponteland Utd defeated i2i International Soccer Academy 2-0 with a brace from Isla Maggs. Victoria Curtis and Sophia Winship netted for Birtley Town in their 2-1 victory at Leeds Modernians and Ossett Utd also won 2-1 against Wallsend Boys Club thanks to Elizabeth Ashcroft and Emily Burgin.
Park View have made an instant impact in the Northern Division, running out 7-1 winners over Gateshead Leam Rangers as Grace Dobson netted twice along with Emily Bloomer, Nicole Maxwell, Eve Pattinson and Christina Aniamai. Robyn Wrigley, Neve Pawlett and Emily Hannah took Norton & Stockton Ancients Res to a 3-0 success at Hartlepool Utd and Washington FC Women beat North Shields Athletic 3-1 courtesy of Abbie Blackwood (2) and Olivia Black.
In the Southern Division, goals from Emam Dorland-Pears, Charlotte Blythe, Rebecca Hunt and Carrie Burnett took Thackley AFC Women to a 4-0 win away to Cleethorpes Town. Knaresborough Town defeated Evolution Ladies 3-0 with goals from Beth Padget, Emily Crispin and Cassidy Lane, while York City Development and Sheffield Wednesday shared a 3-3 draw. Ruby Shannon, Leila Tello and Grace Slack all scored for York, whilst Wednesday netted through a Nicole Shaw brace and Courtney Kaye.
North West League
Bolton Wanderers made it six wins out of six when they notched up a 10-1 victory away to FC United of Manchester. Molly Wood bagged five of the goals and she was joined on the scoresheet by Elizabeth Hamer (2), Lauren Sharples, Faye Stanhope and Ella Tweedle. Bolton remain five points ahead of second placed Mancunian Unity who defeated Nantwich Town 3-0 with goals from Libby Taylor, Isabella Kershaw and Sadie Mitchell. Bury FC Women follow on in third after beating Preston North End 3-0, with Murron Alldread, Ruby Hulme and Kaye Anderson accounting for the goals. Rhianna Tomlinson, Sophie-Leigh Taylor, Iris Bray and Katie Gibbons all netted for Crewe Alexandra in their 4-0 victory over West Didsbury & Chorlton and the meeting between FC St Helens and Darwen FC Women finished level at 1-1, Ashley Beard netting a late equaliser to Emily Yeoman's first half strike.
One match was played in Division One North, Accrington Stanley opening up a lead of three points at the top after beating Fleetwood Town Wrens 3-1. Megan Oliver scored twice for Stanley with an own goal completing the tally, with Brooke Mulholland replying.
South West League
Portishead Town got their season off to a winning start on the opening day of the new season when they beat Yeovil Town 2-1 at Huish Park. Lilly Farr gave Posset a first half lead which was cancelled out on the half hour by Isabella Foster, before a powerful strike by Rachael Poole settled matters for Portishead. Royal Wootton Bassett Town were also 2-1 winners over AEK Boco in their first match back in the division following promotion. Megan Young and Chantelle scott were on target for Bassett, whilst Boco's consolation came from Mia Brain. Sherborne Town and Gloucester City meanwhile battled out a 1-1 draw, Leah Strawbridge on target for Sherborne and Gloucester netting through Cerys Jones.
The campaign opened up in Division One North with a 3-2 victory for Hartpury Women away to Gloucester City Res, who fought back in the second half after the home side had led through goals from Kaci-Mai Hergest and Isabelle D'Arcy at the break.
Two newcomers to the league this season met each other in Division One Central and Keynsham Town Res scored eight times without reply past Portishead Town Res. Rose Thompson bagged a four-goal haul and Grace Finch added two, with one apiece from Harriet Walker and Theonie Ettinger-Smith. Kelly Jones scored four for Weston-super-Mare as they beat Paulton Rovers 9-2. Viktoriia Khandusenko bagged a brace and also on target were Shannon Osman, Mary Shore and Danielle Rhodes, with Alisha Stuart and Jenna Woodland replying. The match between Brislington and Stockwood Wanderers sadly had to be abandoned due to an injury sustained by a Brislington player, with Stockwood leading 6-2 at the time.
Bridgwater Utd Res made it a winning start in Division One South when they edged out Newquay by the odd goal in seven. Sophie Carratt netted twice along with Imogen Jones and Grace Markall, with Beth Prouse (2) and Elizabeth Mears replying.
Southern Region League
Farnham Town are the opening day Premier Division leaders after they swept to a 7-3 victory against Reading. Ashlee Hincks was on target four times for Farnham on her debut for the club and Cherelle Khassal added two, with Alisha Buckingham also on the scoresheet. Southampton Women meanwhile returned from Chesham Utd with a 4-0 win under their belts, courtesy of Katie Ellwood, Jade Hockey, Chloe Tedman and Julia Pietrzyk. Meira Ashby, Yasmin Edwards and Katherine Parsons accounted for the goals as Oxford City won 3-0 at Fleet Town whilst Sholing defeated Denham Utd 4-2, thanks to an Iesha-Lilly Drackett hat-trick and Danielle O'Leary. AFC Portchester were the day's other winners, 3-1 at Winchester City with Sarah Butterworth, Kim Fuller and Molly Barron-Clark all scoring. Zuzanna Wojtaszewska and Amelia Kimble were both on target as Beaconsfield Town came from two down at the break to draw 2-2 with Woodley Utd, who had led through Ella Traynor-Smith and Caitlin Kemp.
Barton Utd made a good start in Division One North, netting five times without reply away to Oxford City Development, Rebecca Stopforth hitting a hat-trick along with other goals from Elena Mitchell and Cherniel Wright. Eshe Davies and Ruby Huggins scored to give Finchampstead a 2-0 success at Farnborough, meanwhile Sasha Scott (2) and Petal Phillips ensured that Abingdon Utd Development won 3-2 against Chesham Utd Development.
In the solitary match to take place in Division One South, first half goals from Elena Butcher, Charlotte Keenan and Aimee Hall-Guy took AFC Portchester Res to a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth Sports Res.
West Midlands League
Janelle Starker scored all four goals as Premier Division leaders Hednesford Town ran out 4-0 winners away to Lichfield City. Hednesford head the table by a single point from two teams - Redditch Borough who defeated Stourbridge 4-1 with goals from Jessica Lowe (2), Jessica Hood and Alisha Sheridan, and Shrewsbury Town who were 5-0 victors at Coventry Sphinx, Katie Doster netting four times and Jessica Edwards the other. Shifnal Town follow on after Lacey-Mae Cooke scored in their 1-1 draw with Knowle, whose reply came from Trina Greaves. Hollie Bailey, Eva Tankard and Madison Furnival accounted for the goals as Port Vale won 3-1 away to Solihull Moors, whilst Coundon Court pipped Leek Town 3-2 courtesy of Sarah Ghanem (2) and Charlotte Taylor.
Telford Town and Newcastle Town each picked up their first point of the season in Division One North when they shared a 2-2 draw. Maisie-Mae Docherty and Lessong Janneh both scored for Telford, whilst Newcastle netted through Kiera Willdigg and Paighton Robathan.
Leamington Ladies top the fledgling Division One South table following their 6-0 victory over Bromsgrove Sporting. Naomi Morgan was on target twice along with Georgina Roebuck, Linda Turner, Eva Johnston and Faith Katanda. Meanwhile, Leah Ritson and Chanelle Ward both scored for Worcester City U21 in their 2-2 draw against Dudley Town, whose markswomen were Tegan Hands and Ruby Harris.
