Southern Region League

It was a great day for leaders Wycombe Wanderers and which may well have been decisive in the title race. The Chairgirls boosted their challenge with a 5-0 victory at Badshot Lea with Catherine Beaver and Chloe Melton each netting twice and Jessica Watkins adding the other. Winchester City Flyers suffered what may have been a fatal blow to their title hopes when they went down 1-0 to Oxford Utd, Emily Harris scoring the only goal of the game, and AFC Portchester were also beaten, 2-1 by Southampton Women whose scorers were Olivia Glover and Chloe Ball. This means that a victory in their final match would confirm Wycombe as Champions and, due to a much superior goal difference, a point may well also be enough. Woodley Utd claimed only their second league win of the campaign, beating Sholing 2-1 thanks to Zara Nurcellari and Amelie Mayani.

One match was played in Division One North, Kidlington Youth picking up a rare point from a 2-2 draw with runners-up hopefuls Larkspur Rovers. Amy Busby and Courtney Sumner scored the goals for Kidlington, whilst Larkspur replied with a brace from Savana Fearon.

Division One South leaders Farnham Town were beaten for the first time this season, going down 3-1 to Andover New Street whose markswomen were Keira Smith (2) and Summer Williams. Freya Jennings, Emma Whall and Mrgan Hill accounted for the goals as Bournemouth Sports won 3-2 against AFC Stoneham and Wimborne Town beat Guernsey 2-1 thanks to Amiya Williams and Lucy Roberts. Bursledon meanwhile ran out 4-0 winners over Shaftesbury to lift themselves out of the bottom two.
