Rachael Boyle signs new deal at Hibernian

Hibernian Women are delighted to announce that Club Captain Rachael Boyle has signed a one-year contract extension with Hibernian FC Women!

Boyle has signed a new deal with the Club to extend her stay in Leith to the end of the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

The 34-year-old joined Hibs Women in July 2016 and has since played a huge part in our recent successes, having been a key member of several cup winning squads as well as our 2024-25 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League title-winning captain.

After battling back from multiple setbacks over the past few seasons, the 43-time Scotland international enjoyed her most consistent season in recent years by making 23 appearances and providing five goal contributions across the 2025-26 season.

On signing her new deal, Boyle said: “I’m absolutely delighted to extend my stay here for another year. I’ve had a lot of success here, but I’ve also had to go through some tough times along the way, but with this Club the positives always outweigh the negatives.

“After finishing last season strong, I am looking forward to getting back together with this group and building towards the aim of consistently competing at the top end of women’s football in Scotland.

“I’m excited for what could be another fascinating season wearing the green and white of Hibs!”

On the contract renewal of her Captain, Head Coach Joelle Murray commented: “I’m delighted that Rachael will be at the Club next season, as I value her highly as both a player and a person.

“Rachael is a huge asset for this Football Club, and she has consistently proven that year after year, and again this season since returning from a lengthy injury setback, by leading the team to a strong SWPL finish.”
