Kyah Simon joins Hibs Women

Hibernian FC Women is delighted to announce the signing of 111-time Australia international Kyah Simon on a one-year contract, subject to SFA approval and international clearance.   

The 35-year-old forward has 18 years of professional football experience in Australia, England, France, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Simon has won four Australian A-League Championships – lifting the trophy twice with Sydney and twice with Melbourne City, respectively – and has enjoyed spells in Europe with FCO Dijon, PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur.

For her country, the striker has amassed 111 caps and scored 29 goals – making her the Matildas’ ninth-highest goalscorer of all time.

She has scored five goals across three FIFA World Cup tournaments while also delivering Australia their first-ever Asian Cup triumph by scoring the winning penalty in the 2010 final shootout versus North Korea.

After signing for the Hibees, Simon said: "I’m delighted to be signing for Hibs. As soon as I spoke with Joelle, I knew this was the right move for me.
