Kozlova and Strain win monthly awards

Nicole Kozlova and Justine Strain have picked up the February 2026 Scottish Women’s Premier League and SWPL2 Player of the Month awards, supported by Park’s Motor Group.

In the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League, Nicole Kozlova scored twice in Glasgow City’s two February fixtures. Kozlova and Glasgow City kicked off the month with a 1-1 draw with Celtic at Petershill Park. Kozlova opened the scoring in the match, as the forward was quickest to react in the box to finish from close range.

Kozlova continued her impressive form as Leanne Ross’ side picked up a 4-0 victory away to Motherwell. The forward grabbed another goal in this match, taking her tally to nine for the season with a cool finish into the bottom right hand corner. The results ensured Glasgow City enter the post-split league phase unbeaten through their first 18 SWPL fixtures.

In the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 (SPWPL2), Justine Strain has been a key component in Livingston’s attack so far this season. Strain has netted 13 goals in the SWPL2 and is the third top goalscorer in the competition, just two goals off top spot.

Strain kicked off February with a hat-trick in a dominant win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park. The striker netted her hat-trick in the first half to send Livingston on their way to a 7-3 win. She also opened the scoring as Livingston hosted Spartans at the Home of the Set Fare Arena, in the match Strain continued to show her attacking skills with high pass accuracy and dribble success rate.

The other nominees for the February 2026 SWPL Player of the Month award, supported by Park’s Motor Group, were Laura Berry (Rangers), Kathleen McGovern (Hibernian), and Isla Taylor (Partick Thistle), and for the SWPL2 award were Ciara Bonner (Queen’s Park), Eilidh Martin (Kilmarnock), and Izzy Young (Spartans).
