Joely Andrews makes Hibernian move

Hibernian FC Women is delighted to confirm the signing of Northern Ireland international Joely Andrews on a two-year deal from Heart of Midlothian.

The 24-year-old midfielder has earned 35 caps for Northern Ireland to date and represented her country in their first ever appearance at the UEFA Women’s European Championships in 2022.

Andrews began her senior career with Glentoran, where she won three Northern Irish Premiership titles and lifted the IFA Challenge Cup on five occasions.

Since arriving in Scotland in July 2024, Andrews has made 52 appearances in the Scottish topflight and played an instrumental role in her former side’s 2025-26 Scottish Women’s Premier League title success.

Joely will wear number 6 for the Hibees.

After signing for Hibs Women, Andrews said: "It's really good to be here. Playing against Hibs in the last two seasons, it's always been a really competitive game, and I think it's a style that I can fit into.

"I think being in the city of Edinburgh as well, I love it here. I'm really looking forward to it."

Head Coach Joelle Murray added: "We’re really pleased to welcome Joely to the Club. She is a player who brings a wealth of experience at both international level and in the SWPL, and those qualities will be invaluable to our group.

"Joely is an exciting player who has the physical attribute to play box to box and someone who can make a real impact in the final third. She has excellent tactical intelligence, understands the game extremely well, and gives us another strong option with her ability to create and score chances.

"We’re excited to have Joely with us and believe she’ll be a great addition as we continue building a squad of good players capable of competing at the top end of the league and good people who can add to our positive culture."
