Jackson appointed as new York City manager
York City Ladies FC have announced the return of Dan Jackson to the club, this time as First Team Manager, as they prepare for their next FA Women’s National League Division One North fixture.
The appointment follows the departure of Bobby Paterson, who had guided the MinsterBelles at the start of the season.
Jackson, who previously coached the club’s U16s and Development teams, expressed his enthusiasm for the role. “I’m really proud to step up as First Team Manager at York City Ladies FC,” he said. “Having come through the pathway with the U16s and Development team, I’ve seen first hand the quality and potential that already exists in this squad. I’m excited to work with the players and staff, build strong relationships, and see what we can achieve together this season.”
Club Chair Paula Stainton praised the squad’s resilience during the transition. “I’d like to firstly say thank you to the girls for their resilience over the last few weeks during a short period of uncertainty after the departure of Bobby Paterson as First Team manager,” Stainton stated. “This was unexpected, but we appreciated Bobby’s personal reasoning.
