The New Saints confirmed their place in the Championship Conference with a 2-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town at Park Hall.
Despite early chances for Grace Dunkerley, Caitlin Chapman, and Kay Baker being denied by Sophie Steele in goal, the breakthrough arrived in first half stoppage time when Zara Gibbs tucked away a loose ball into the bottom corner. Lexi Jones added a second in the 64th minute, firing into the roof of the net from close range for her first league goal of the season. The win marked Kieran Lee-Birch’s first as TNS manager, while Aberystwyth slipped to a third straight away defeat and remain sixth.
Cardiff City maintained their slender advantage at the summit with an emphatic 6-0 beating of bottom side Pontypridd United at the CIS Stadium. Mikayla Cook opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a superb long range strike into the bottom corner. Meg Bowen headed in from Cook’s corner, and Maddison Perrott slotted through Anna Phelps' legs for a 3-0 half time lead. Cook added a fourth early in the second half before turning provider twice for Madison Lloyd, who netted a brace against her former club with clinical finishes from low crosses.
Wrexham remain one point behind in second place after they fought back to win 3-1 against Briton Ferry Llansawel at The Rock. Grace Evans gave Ferry an eighth minute lead from Freya Peyton’s low cross, but Katie Barker equalised from the penalty spot six minutes later after Brooke Llewellyn’s foul on Faye Knox. Ava Suckley hit the bar late in the first half, but Rosie Hughes headed home Barker’s cross on 62 minutes to put Wrexham ahead, before adding a third nine minutes later from Josie Smith’s through ball.
Swansea City marked their return to the Swansea.com Stadium in style with a 7-1 demolition of Barry Town United. Chloe Chivers led the scoring with a hat-trick - she opened the scoring after three minutes with a fierce long-range effort, added a composed one-on-one finish, and completed her treble from the edge of the area with fifteen minutes left. Stacey John tapped in the rebound after Molly Arnesen tipped Aimee Deacon’s header onto the post, Taite Trivett struck sublimely from 25 yards, substitute Emily Thomas lobbed cleverly and later headed the seventh from Trivett’s cross. Amelia Herbert grabbed a consolation for Barry from Lauren Payne’s cross. Yzzy Taylor’s Swans sit five points behind leaders Cardiff, while Barry remain seventh.

Llanfair United narrowed the gap on leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads to three points with a 4-0 win at Llandudno’s Go Goodwins Stadium. In-form Tania Wylde opened the scoring after four minutes and she added her 11th goal in four games midway through the second half for a brace. Harriet Davies doubled the lead seven minutes after the restart and grabbed her second later on. Lucie Gwilt’s side extended their unbeaten away run to five matches.
Felinheli climbed to fourth after salvaging a 1-1 draw at Flint Town United in the Essity Stadium. Shannon Hobbs, in her first competitive start in nearly two years, gave Flint an 11th minute lead with a neat first time finish from Ruby Hastings’ cross. Substitute Rubie Davies set up Jenna Tugwell-Allsup for an 80th minute equaliser after just two minutes on the pitch. Flint are winless in five, while Felinheli have drawn their last three.

Cardiff Met Women held top spot on goal difference with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Penybont at Cyncoed Stadium. Esme Kilburn-Thompson tapped in from Liv Barnes’ cross midway through the first half and she doubled her tally from close range. Poppi Coggins and Maddie Priday levelled for Bont before half time, but Anna Houghton restored the lead from Kilburn-Thompson’s assist seven minutes after the restart and teenage substitute Hannah Rayner sealed it late on with a composed finish.
Pure Swansea kept the pressure on with a 3-0 win over Llanelli Town at the SU Sports Centre. Rachel Cullen and Annabel Stokes struck inside 15 minutes, with Kalena Walters-Wright adding her second in as many games on the hour for Chris Church’s side.
Cascade YC secured back-to-back victories and moved out of the relegation zone with a 5-2 triumph over Carmarthen Town at the CCB Centre. Liv Townsend opened the scoring om twelve minutes, Ophelia Jenkins equalising just after the half hour, but Ellis Lunn restored the lead on the stroke of half time and completed her hat-trick in stoppage time, sandwiching quickfire goals from Lunn and Chrystalla Moreton early in the second half. Jenkins added a late second for Carmarthen. Cascade are now two points clear of the drop zone.
