Genero Adran Leagues


Wrexham clinched bragging rights in the North Wales derby with a 2-0 win over The New Saints at The Globe in the Genero Adran Premier.


Katie Barker continued her scintillating form, netting her sixth goal in five matches in the 18th minute, coolly slotting past McKenzie Haydn-Jones after a precise through ball from Lili Jones. Substitute Faye Knox, a former Wales U19 international, sealed the victory in the 81st minute, drilling home a loose ball from inside the box for her first Wrexham goal. The result keeps Wrexham second in the table, level on points with leaders Cardiff City but trailing on goal difference.


Cardiff City extended their perfect home record with a 4-2 victory over Barry Town United. Despite a resilient first half display from Barry, Fiona Barry broke the deadlock three minutes before the interval with a stunning long range strike. The Bluebirds surged ahead after the break, with Mackenzie Olsen scoring her seventh goal of the season and Ffion Price netting directly from a corner by the 50th minute. Danielle Broadhurst pulled one back for Barry, but substitute Amy Long restored Cardiff’s three-goal cushion. Sixteen-year-old Millie Breen grabbed a late consolation for the visitors, but Cardiff’s dominance secured the points.


Swansea City remain hot on the heels of the top two, sitting just a point behind after a 2-1 win at Aberystwyth Town. The Swans took an early lead when Lalita Egan inadvertently headed Chloe Chivers’ free kick into her own net. Egan redeemed herself just before the hour, levelling with a fine strike, but Chivers restored Swansea’s advantage with a looping cross that sailed over Sophie Steele.


Megan Kearle’s late heroics earned Briton Ferry Llansawel a 2-1 victory against bottom placed Pontypridd United. Laura-May Walkley-Witts opened the scoring just before half time, scrambling home from Lucy Powell’s corner. Jemima Lister equalised for Pontypridd in the 69th minute, but Kearle raced onto Walkley-Witts’ headed pass to slot past Alysha Hawkins with seven minutes remaining, securing the win for Ferry.


Genero Adran North


Connah’s Quay Nomads stormed to the top of the Genero Adran North table with a 9-0 demolition of Bangor Women. Hannah Slack and Ella Jones set the tone early, with Jones completing a first half hat-trick. Aimee Redfern added a header, while Polly Wild-McGregor and Natasha Spearing piled on the goals after the break. Wild-McGregor capped the rout with the ninth goal, marking the Nomads’ biggest away league win since January 2023.


Llandudno celebrated their first league victory of the season, defeating Llanfair United 2-0 at Mount Field. Jasmin Dutton broke the deadlock from a 63rd minute penalty, and teenage substitute Cara Roberts sealed the points with her first senior goal, ensuring a deserved win for the Seasiders.


Genero Adran South


Cardiff Met Women maintained their perfect start in the Genero Adran South, coming from behind to win 4-2 at Pure Swansea. Charley Haynes gave the hosts an early lead, but Scarlett Davies and Carys Gittins quickly turned the game around. Molly Chapman scored and assisted Anna Houghton’s goal to secure the Archers’ eighth straight win across all competitions, despite a late consolation from Annabel Stokes.


Taffs Well battled back from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Llanelli Town. Sophie Topper, Bryanna Demery, and Ffion Varney put Llanelli in control before half time, but Rianne Jones sparked the comeback with a goal just before the break, with Saskia Williams and Jones completing the recovery during the second half.


Carmarthen Town moved to third place in the with a 2-1 victory over Cascade YC. Summer Evans’ stunning free kick gave Carmarthen an early lead, but Iris Jones equalised before the break. Casi Jones’ second half strike proved decisive, slotting home after latching onto a long ball.


Cerys Pinchard’s 87th minute equaliser earned Cwmbran Celtic a 1-1 draw with Penybont. An own goal from Summer Bowen-Quirk had given Bont the lead, but Carys Minton’s late red card swung momentum, allowing Pinchard to salvage a point for the visitors.
