Genero Adran Leagues

Wrexham moved two points clear at the top of the Genero Adran Premier with a 4-0 victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel at The Rock, capitalising on The New Saints dropping rare points.

Faye Knox gave the reigning champions the lead after 11 minutes, tucking away the rebound after her initial effort was blocked by Brooke Llewellyn. That narrow advantage held for much of the contest before Wrexham pulled away with two quick goals early in the second half, Lili Jones curling a dipping strike over Courtney Young from the edge of the area before Knox met Natasha Thomas' square ball and fired low in at the near post. Maria Francis-Jones capped off another high-scoring win late on, applying a simple finishing touch from two yards out after the ball ricocheted off both Jodie Bartle and Lowri Ridings.

Wrexham's lead was established as The New Saints were held to a 1-1 draw by Barry Town United, who claimed their first point at Jenner Park this season. Barry's Sienna Stone was denied an early goal for offside, but the hosts' pressure told on 17 minutes when Ellie Gunney headed home from Erin Murray's corner. Zara Gibbs missed a glorious chance for Saints, but Kieran Lee-Birch's side found their equaliser shortly before half-time as Abbie Iddenden met Fiona Barry's pinpoint cross and headed in her eighth goal of the campaign. Iddenden found the net again midway through the second half from Hannah Snape's corner, but the goal was ruled out for a foul inside the area. A solid defensive display from a resurgent Barry ensured they came away with a point and moved two points clear of the relegation zone.

Third placed Cardiff City maintained the pressure at the top as they came from behind to beat South Wales rivals Swansea City 3-1 at the CIS Stadium. Cardiff applied early pressure, with Kate Oakley, Maddison Perrott and Ffion Price forcing crucial saves from Amelia Forkings, but it was the Swans who took the lead in tremendous style on 19 minutes, Taite Trivett firing a stunning strike into the roof of the net. Chloe Chivers squandered a great chance to double Swansea's lead when she shot wide one-on-one with Grace Olsen. Cardiff eventually equalised three minutes before half-time as Swansea captain Jess Williams turned Oakley's cross into her own net. The contest remained level for much of the second half, but Eilish Mitchell's foul on Haile Richards inside the area gave Cardiff the chance to complete the turnaround from the penalty spot with seven minutes remaining, Richards stepping up and finding the bottom corner. Captain Shannon Evans ensured the derby bragging rights with a header from Price's corner two minutes later. Noah Bushby's side have now won their last seven Genero Adran Premier matches and sit just three points behind Wrexham.

Sixteen-year-old Gwen Jones marked her Genero Adran Premier debut in the best way possible, scoring the winning goal to give Cardiff Met Women a 1-0 win over Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue. Jones struck with just five minutes of normal time remaining, firing home from Lily Moralee-Hughes' low cross at the back post. A first clean sheet and first away win of the season takes the Archers seven points clear of bottom-of-the-table Aberystwyth.

Genero Adran North

Rosie Hughes scored twice as reigning champions Connah's Quay Nomads clinched their first league win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Llanfair United. Hughes rounded Lucie Gwilt to open the scoring on 15 minutes, and although Sioned Roberts equalised immediately, the all-time Genero Adran North top scorer restored the lead late on with another composed finish. Newly promoted Wrexham Foresters climbed to the top of the table with an 8-0 victory over Llandudno, player-manager Kirstie Kural bagging a brace either side of strikes from Jess Sayers and Ruby Smith, with Sayers and Smith also doubling their tallies before Anna Thomas capped off the win. Kelsey Davies scored a hat-trick as Flint Town United returned to winning ways with a 7-2 victory over Felinheli, while Bangor City 1876 picked up their first win of the season, coming from behind to beat Berriew 5-2 thanks to a Holly Owen-Roberts double.

Genero Adran South

Ellis Lunn scored a hat-trick as early leaders Cascade maintained their perfect record with a 6-1 win over Cambrian United. Nicole Fenton opened the scoring inside six minutes and set up captain Annaliese Lewis for a second, before Lunn's hat-trick arrived within the space of 24 minutes, taking her tally to 12 goals in her last six games. Trinity Reakes extended the lead on 64 minutes, while Cambrian grabbed a consolation through Aliya Hull's penalty. Cascade have now scored a staggering 41 goals in their last six matches in all competitions. Second placed Cwmbran Celtic kept their perfect record intact with a 6-1 victory over Carmarthen Town, Cerys Shipley, Fiona Anthony and Macey Morris all finding the net before Morris added her second and Georgina Cridland got in on the act. Penybont made it three wins from three, coming from behind to beat Pontypridd United 2-1, while Rianne Jones bagged a brace as Pure Swansea edged past newly promoted Llanrumney United 3-2.
