Genero Adran Leagues

Cardiff City rounded off Phase One of the Genero Adran Premier in style with a commanding 4-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue, maintaining their lead at the top of the table.

Iain Darbyshire's side took control early when Lisa Owen notched her first goal since September 2024, controlling Mackenzie Olden's cross at the back post and poking home in the 17th minute. Olden doubled the advantage herself shortly after the restart, racing onto Shannon Evans' diagonal pass and heading in at the far post on 55 minutes. Laura Curnock extended the lead from the penalty spot in the 71st minute after Ffiona Evans handled inside the area, before Ffion Price capped a dominant display with a spectacular fourth deep in stoppage time – her cross-shot sailing over goalkeeper Sophie Steele and into the net.

The Bluebirds have now won their last seven matches across all competitions and sit one point clear at the summit after Phase One.

Wrexham kept the pressure on with a convincing 6-1 triumph over Barry Town United at Jenner Park, thanks in large part to Katie Barker's hat-trick. Barker opened the scoring in the 17th minute, latching onto Faye Knox's pass, and Rosie Hughes made it 2-0 soon after, capitalising on a defensive error, rounding Emily Blunt and slotting home. Jasmine Turner pulled one back for Barry just before half time, but Hughes restored the two-goal cushion with a fierce volley after the hour.

Knox added a fourth with a low drive that squirmed through Blunt's hands, before Barker rounded the keeper to tap in and then completed her treble with another clinical finish. It marks the sixth time this campaign that Jenny Sugarman's Red Dragons have scored six or more goals in a single match.

The New Saints delivered their biggest ever Genero Adran Premier win, thrashing bottom side Pontypridd United 8-0 at USW Sports Park. Chantelle Teare opened the scoring with a close range finish into the roof of the net, before Caitlin Chapman curled in from the edge of the area to make it 2-0 inside 21 minutes. Chapman then turned provider for Grace Dunkerley, who fired home at the back post to complete a three-goal first half.

The second period saw Chapman involved again, crossing for Lexie Harrison to turn in before slotting her own second from Teare’s cutback. Kay Baker added two more close range finishes and Teare wrapped up the rout with a composed strike into the bottom corner. The victory gives Saints back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

Genero Adran North

Leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads extended their advantage to six points with a 4-1 win over Bangor at Deeside Stadium, preserving their 100% record. Elana Harley volleyed home from Phoebe Ellis’ teasing free kick after just nine minutes. Bangor captain Ffion Bee turned Ella Jones’ low ball into her own net for the second, before Jones netted her 18th league goal of the season in the 31st minute, firing beyond Catrin Roberts via the underside of the bar. Teenager Hannah Slack added a fourth before half time, rolling in from Mae Hodgers’ defence-splitting pass. Cerys Parry pulled one back for Bangor just before the hour, slotting home from outside the area after a loose ball, but substitute goalkeeper Erin Basinger denied the Nomads several times in the second half as Jordan Parry’s side held on comfortably.

Flint Town United ended a five-match winless run with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Llandudno at the Go Goodwins Stadium. Beth Roberts drilled the Silkwomen ahead after five minutes, but Gwen Roberts equalised with her first ever Genero Adran North goal. Flint struck twice late in the first half: Shannon Hobbs chased down goalkeeper Meg Robinson to restore the lead, before Rebecca Eagles headed in from Rosie Hughes’ corner. Jasmin Dutton halved the deficit with a superb long range strike early in the second half, but Flint held firm for the points.

Genero Adran South

Carmarthen Town staged a remarkable comeback from 3-0 down to beat Pure Swansea 4-3 at the LHP Stadium. Poppy Brown and a brace from Kalena Walters-Wright put the Swans in command at half time. The turnaround began in the 52nd minute as Flavia Jenkins curled in from the edge of the area via the post after Hannah Pusey’s pass. Casi Jones levelled after her initial effort hit the woodwork, then set up Ophelia Jenkins to equalise with a strike across goal. Summer Evans completed the epic revival in the 72nd minute, bundling home from a corner for her fourth league goal of the season. The result leaves Carwyn Phillips’ side level on points with Pure Swansea after four straight home wins in all competitions.

Defeat for the Swans allowed Cardiff Met Women to move three points clear at the top with a 5-0 beating of Llanelli Town at Stebonheath. Esme Kilburn-Thompson scored twice either side of Anna Houghton’s third goal in as many games to establish a three-goal interval lead. Summer Kilby and Emily Bayliss added further goals in the second half as Jonathan Nash’s Archers avenged their earlier loss to Llanelli.

Cascade YC continued their resurgence with a 6-0 demolition of Taffs Well at Rhiw Dda’r, moving five points clear of the relegation zone as a result. Liv Townsend and Annaliese Lewis gave them a half time advantage, before Erin Parry added a third shortly after the restart. Ellis Lunn completed her second successive hat-trick in the closing stages, building on last weekend’s treble against Carmarthen. Simon Moran’s side have now won their last three league matches.
