Southampton Academy complete the quarter final line up after beating AFC Wimbledon on a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw. After a goalless first half, the Dons took a two-goal lead through Ellie Dorey and Kau’inohea Taylor but the Saints were to hit back and late goals from Madeline Hotston and Kaylee Buckingham took the match into the shootout, where they triumphed 6-5 from the spot.
Southampton are therefore one of two remaining Academy teams in the last eight, where they will face Norwich City, whilst defeat for Wimbledon means that Cheltenham Town are the only remaining Tier 3 side left in the competition.
Revised Quarter final draw: (to be played on 1 December)
AFC Bournemouth v Cambridge Utd
Southampton Academy v Norwich City
Manchester Utd Academy v Loughborough Lightning
Stockport County v Cheltenham Town
Northern Premier Division
With Nottingham Forest not having a game, Wolverhampton Wanderers took the opportunity to replace them as leaders by running out 6-0 winners over Halifax FC Women. Rachael Quigley netted two of the goals for Wolves and she was joined on the scoresheet by Charlotte Greengrass, Amber Hughes, Beth Merrick and Ania Denham.
Stoke City remain in fifth but are now level on points with the two teams above them, Rugby Borough and Burnley FC Women, following their 3-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion. Millie Ravening gave Stoke the lead just ahead of half time and after the break, they added further goals through Tamara Wilcock and Evie Priestley to ensure they kept up their recent run of good form.
Derby County meanwhile ended a worrying run of six straight defeats in all competitions and recorded their first win in almost two months, 4-2 away to Hull City. Camille Jenkins and Daisy Burt put the Ewes two goals ahead at half time and after Hope Knight reduced the arrears from the penalty spot, Chene Muir restored the two-goal advantage with two minutes remaining. Helen Lynskey gave Hull renewed hope as she pulled a goal back but deep into injury time, Emelia Wilson finally made the points safe with a fourth goal for Derby.

Hashtag Utd remain on top of the table after their match with fourth placed Exeter City finished in a goalless draw, although their advantage has now been trimmed to a single point.
Oxford Utd closed the gap on the Tags by running out 4-0 winners over Billericay Town. Zoe Creaney and Leah Burridge ensured that the U’s were two goals at the interval and they went on to crown the win with further strikes from Phoebie Poole and Adele Lindbek.
Ipswich Town meanwhile made it a miserable trip for Milton Keynes Dons, a thirteen goal blast leaving them three points off the pace whilst possessing two games in hand. In the other game on Sunday, Lewes won 3-0 against Cheltenham Town, which meant that none of the four visiting teams managed a goal between them. Poppy Derhun netted a goal in each half and Olivia Carpenter was also on target for a result which takes the Rookettes into mid-table.
On Wednesday night, AFC Wimbledon put their League Plate disappointment behind them to win 1-0 at Watford to move themselves up to fifth, courtesy of a first half header from Kau’inohea Taylor.

Cheadle Town Stingers remain a further point behind in third place and they completed a good day for the top three when a first half goal from Jessica Gillin earned them a 1-0 success away to Norton & Stockton Ancients, bringing a halt to the home side’s recent run of good form.
Leeds Utd returned to form with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley FC Women, a result which means they sit just four points off the pace. Both goals came in the opening sixteen minutes, Amy Woodruff giving them the lead and Alice Hughes adding the second shortly afterwards.
Another team to keep themselves in touch with the leading sides are Huddersfield Town, who were 2-0 winners against York City. Scarlett McMahon opened the scoring for Town on the quarter hour, with an own goal after the break sealing the points.
It was a big result for Fylde Women, who have lifted themselves off the bottom of the table and up three places with a 1-0 victory against Doncaster Rovers Belles, Chang Man Karri Chan grabbing a late winning goal for the Coasters.
Division One Midlands
Peterborough Utd are continuing to stride away at the top of the table, thanks to a 6-1 victory over Lincoln Utd. After an own goal had put the Posh Women in front, Tara Kirk netted twice along with Niamh Reynolds, Kier Perkins and Poppie Brown.
Leafield Athletic meanwhile won 3-0 away to Solihull Moors and stay a point off the pace in second place. Jessica Lowe gave Leafield a fourth minute lead and after Abi Cowie added a second ahead of half time, Evie Gallop rounded off the scoring with seven minutes remaining.
Northampton Town scored seven times without reply past Lincoln City to keep themselves in third place. Jade Bell had an astonishing match up front for Northampton as she netted all seven goals, five of which came in the first half.
A 4-0 victory away to Barnsley Women leaves Loughborough Lightning six points off the pace but with two games in hand. After a goalless first half, Ella-Mai Coutts and Jessica Collyer both netted doubles to give Loughborough a sixth win in seven matches.
Boldmere St Michaels leapfrogged Notts County into fifth place after winning their meeting 3-1. Anna Wilcox, Molly Towers and Janelle Straker were all on target as the Mikes took a three-goal lead during the first half, while Leah Hardy grabbed a consolation for the Magpies late on.

Abbie Bensted led the scoring for Real with a five-goal haul whilst Leyla O’Brien and Amy McLean weighed in with two goals apiece, while Chiara Meola, Sofia Stovold and Gemma Biggadike also got on the scoresheet. Gemma Fraser scored both goals for the Clarets in reply.
In complete contrast, things were much tighter at Queen’s Park Rangers where the home side battled out a goalless draw with Dulwich Hamlet. The result means that Hamlet currently remain a single point and three places higher in the table than Rangers.
That draw means that Chatham Town have taken an opportunity to climb above both teams and they are up into fourth place after beating Ashford Town (Middlesex) 1-0 with a goal from Ellie Perkins.
Division One South West
League leaders Swindon Town did not have a game on Sunday and their advantage has been trimmed to seven points by AFC Bournemouth, who returned to league action after a short break and eased to a ten-goal success against Southampton Women. Bristol Rovers kept themselves in the top four by narrowly getting the better of Portishead Town with a 1-0 victory in a well contested local derby. Jodie Exley scored the only goal of the game, six minutes before half time, to settle an entertaining match.
A second half fightback saw Keynsham Town come from behind to win 2-1 against Bridgwater Utd in their Somerset derby match. Bridgwater started well and took a first half lead through Keeley Banfield but the same player was red carded after the break and this proved to be the turning point of the game, substitute Hannah Price levelling the scores shortly afterwards and Vicky Vipond fired in the winner from 25 yards in injury time.
All in all it was a good day for the teams immediately below leaders Swindon with all five recording victories, including Worthing who continue to hover behind the leading teams with games in hand. Emily Linscer and Georgia Tibble scored the goals as the Sussex side narrowly won 2-1 against Abingdon Utd, who netted a consolation through Molly Lygo-Jackson.
