Northern Premier Division
Rugby Borough maintained their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 victory away to Middlesbrough, which keeps them two points clear at the top of the table. Both goals came during the first half, Ebony Wiseman giving Rugby the lead on the half hour and Mai Moncaster netting the second with half time approaching.
Second placed Huddersfield Town kept up their own encouraging start with a third win in four matches, beating Derby County 2-1. Aimee Kelly gave Town a first half lead which was cancelled out before the break by Eleanor Ashton, before Laura Elford settled matters with the winning goal, midway through the second half.
Stoke City made a swift return to winning ways as they defeated Hull City 3-0. The Potters got out of the blocks quickly and took a second minute lead through Delphi Cole, with Evie Priestley doubling their advantage shortly afterwards. Seren Watkins rounded off a good day for her club when she netted the third goal late on.
West Bromwich Albion have gone level on points with fourth placed Liverpool Feds after winning their meeting 3-2. Zoe Creaney put Albion in front early on and Rhianne Oakley did so again after the break, with Jessica Brady equalising for the Feds on each occasion. The game remained in the balance until deep into injury time, when Abbey Jones scored a decisive third for Albion and their second win of the season.
Loughborough Lightning continued their improving form with a second straight win, a 3-2 success at Peterborough Utd which takes them into the top half of the fledgling table. Ella West gave Loughborough a first half lead which was cancelled out by Ellie May and after Lucy Mutch restored Lightning's advantage after the interval, May struck again to bring the Posh Women back on level terms once more. Once again there was to be an injury time winner and again for the visitors, Mutch scoring her second to earn her team three valuable points.
The points were shared at Norwich City where the home side battled out a 2-2 draw with Boldmere St Michaels. This did not tell the whole story though as the Mikes went into a two-goal lead during the first half, courtesy of GRace Gregory and Lataya Bojang. Isabelle Moore gave Norwich hope when she pulled a goal back midway through the second half and Drew Wilson completed the Canaries' comeback with an injury time equaliser.
Southern Premier Division
Table toppers Oxford Utd notched up another 5-0 victory when they visited Hashtag Utd and this keeps them on top of the table on goal difference. Sophie Quirk and Holly Manders ensured the U's were two goals ahead going into the interval, before Riva Casley, Kate Wiseman and Jenna Legg joined them on the scoresheet during the second half.
Fulham are still keeping pace with Oxford but needed to come from behind to win 2-1 away to Swindon Town. Sky Bedwell put Swindon in front midway through the first half but two goals in a seven minute spell after the break turned the match around in Fulham's favour for a fourth straight win.
Lewes became the first team to take points off AFC Bournemouth as the teams fought out a 1-1 draw at the Dripping Pan. Una Lue opened the scoring for the Rookettes with eleven minutes on the clock, while Tamara Wilcock secured a point for Bournemouth when she levelled the scores at the midpoint of the first half.
AFC Wimbledon head the chasing teams in fourth place following their 2-0 victory against Real Bedford. Both goals came in the five minute spell after half time, Ellie Dorey opening the scoring and Emily Brown wrapping up a second win in three matches for the Dons.
Portsmouth meanwhile had a successful trip to Devon where they ran out 4-0 winners over Plymouth Argyle. Arabella Suttie and Kerry Beattie gave Pompey a two-goal lead going into the break, before Zoe Barratt put the seal on the result by scoring a late double.
Cheltenham Town ended a run of three straight defeats with their first point of the season, but would have been left frustrated following a thrilling 4-4 draw with Exeter City. Leonie Joyce netted twice and Emily Owen the other as Cheltenham raced into a three-goal lead inside the opening half hour but Exeter hit back strongly with Charlotte Whitmore, Ishbel Zuurmond and Ellie Sara bringing them back on level terms by half time. Joyce put Cheltenham back in front again when she completed her hat-trick midway through the second half and they remained in front until injury time, when Zuurmond grabbed a leveller for the Devon side.
Division One North
Leeds Utd continue to set a strong pace at the top and have opened up a lead of two points after beating Stockport County 4-2. Chloe Dixon netted either side of half time to put Leeds two ahead, with Ellie Fletcher reducing the arrears for County. A quickfire double from Amy Woodruff then secured three more points for Leeds, with Stockport then netting a second through Emily Bradshaw.
AFC Fylde remain in second but conceded points for the first time this season when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Norton & Stockton Ancients. Both goals came in the first half, Fylde taking a fifth minute lead through Imogen Borrowdale and Bianca Owens bringing Norton back on level terms by the half hour.
Halifax FC Women sit in third place after edging out Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at The Shay. Farah Crompton scored the only goal of the game after eleven minutes to hand Halifax a third win in four matches.
Joining Halifax on nine points are Thornaby Women whose match was a complete contrast with them winning 6-4 away to Bradford City. The two teams battled it out for the North East League title last season and produced another stunning match, Faye Dale and Nicki Ord each netting twice for Thornaby along with Ella Baker and Danielle Nanga, whilst Hannah Markey, Ava Spencer-Smith, Katja May and Mia Jacobs all replied for Bradford.
Durham Cestria notched up their first win and points of the season with a 2-1 success against York City. Eden Varah gave Durham a sixth minute lead which was cancelled out just after half time by Grace Foyer, before the Wildcats netted the winner through Kayleigh Wharton with just two minutes remaining.
Two teams who started the day without any points met each other in an important clash and it was Chester-le-Street Town who got off the mark by winning 2-1 against Chorley. Both goals for the Cestrians came in the opening seven minutes of the match, scored by Jenny Ashton and Isla Baxter.
Division One Midlands
Leafield Athletic have gone to the top of the table for the first time this season following their 2-1 win away to Sutton Coldfield Town. Adela Qose put Leafield in front during the first half, with Amber Downs levelling for Sutton six minutes later, but an injury time winner from Gwen Horgan made sure that Leafield extended their winning start to four matches in a row.
Sporting Khalsa had started the day as leaders but are back in third after being beaten for the first time, 4-0 by Wythenshawe who have climbed into second place. After Khalsa were reduced to ten players early on, Rachael Dunlop, Katie O'Gara and Kirsty Chambers sent Wythenshawe into a three-goal lead by half time and Amy Shannon rounded off the scoring late on.
Barnsley Women meanwhile won 1-0 away to Notts County to become the third team on nine points. Aaliyah Nolan settled the match with the only goal of the game after seventeen minutes.
Worcester City lifted themselves into the top half of the table after running out 5-2 winners at Lye Town, who still seek their first victory. Lowri Walker spearheaded the victory for City by hitting a hat-trick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Jessica Fassnidge and Annabel Sims, with Lye's replies coming from Sian Johnson and Natasha Baptiste.
Chesterfield meanwhile notched up their second victory of the season and move above Kidderminster Harriers after winning their meeting 1-0, Ruby Shore grabbing the winning goal midway through the first half.
It has not been an easy start to the season for Northampton Town but they are off the mark after winning 5-1 against Sheffield FC. Emma Pollard scored a hat-trick and the others came from Rameyah Farquharson and Beatrice Rogers, whilst Molly-Mae Crump netted a consolation for the home side.
Division One South East
Actonians Ladies have taken over the leadership with a 3-1 victory over Stevenage Women. Olivia Clement was on target twice, either side of a goal from Wiktoria Franc, to give Actonians the points despite Sarah Wiltshire netting a late consolation for Stevenage.
Previous leaders London Bees saw their 100% record brought to a halt as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Milton Keynes Dons. Elizabeth Mulvaney and Hayley Hoare put the Bees two up in the opening sixteen minutes but the Dons roared back with a Madeleine Pollard brace and Isabella Simmons goal to turn things around in their favour. Mulvaney then netted a second in injury time to preserve the Bees' unbeaten record.
Queen's Park Rangers are up to third, one point behind the top two, following their 2-0 win against Dartford, who are still seeking their first victory following promotion. Renee Johnson gave Rangers the lead, before Shannon Albuery wrapped up the win with the second.
Chatham Town leapfrogged Cambridge Utd into fourth place after winning their meeting 3-1. Amelia Woodgate netted twice and Kara Fordhur the other for the Chats, who are still unbeaten, whilst the U's replied through Mollie Coupar.
Dulwich Hamlet meanwhile won for the first time, beating Billericay Town 4-1. Nia Evans did get Billericay off to a great start with an eighth minute goal but their hopes of picking up their first points were ended as Tolu Adubiaro quickly equalised and Cruz Fagan then put Hamlet in front, before Summer Roberts sealed the points with a late double.
Luton Town were another team to chalk up their first victory with a 2-1 success against Saltdean Utd. Chloe Logie and Lisa Milliken were both on target for Luton, with Danielle Lane replying.
Division One South West
Moneyfields continue to set the early pace and notched up a fourth win in four matches with a 2-1 success away to previously unbeaten Gwalia Utd. In a clash between two of the sides expected to feature in the title race, Kylie Nolan gave Gwalia the lead on the quarter hour but the Moneys were back on level terms ten minutes later through an own goal. Libby Hester then put Moneyfields ahead after the break and they held on to record an important victory.
Moneyfields head the table on goal difference from Bridgwater Utd, who were also 2-1 winners at Marine Academy Plymouth. An own goal gave Bridgwater a lead which was doubled before the break by Megan Jarvis, before the Somerset side needed to dig in for points when Kate Bowden pulled one back for the home side late on.
Wycombe Wanderers remain in third but went down to their first defeat of the season, beaten 3-1 by Bristol Rovers. Wycombe did start the game well and took the lead through Anaisa Harney but Rovers turned the match around to be ahead at the break, thanks to goals from Helena Costa and Anais Trinci, before new signing Libby Davies sealed the win with the third in injury time.
Abingdon Utd meanwhile put on a fine display to win 5-2 away to Maidenhead Utd. Issy Stockton's early strike for Maidenhead was cancelled out by Molly Lygo-Jackson and Abingdon took control of the game from that point, with doubles from Erin Hartigan and Mollie Dyer earning them the points before Katie Akerman grabbed a late consolation for the home side.
Torquay Utd moved themselves into a mid-table position on the back of a 3-1 success at Keynsham Town. A goal in each half from Sarah Stacey set Torquay on their way and Brooke Patton added a third, before Mia Mugford replied for Keynsham late on.
Bournemouth Sports notched up their second victory of the season when they beat Ascot Utd 4-2. Chloe Sheffield was on target twice for Sports along with Emma Whall and Molly Gladwell, with Emma Goodwin and Monica Ferreira netting for Ascot.
