Iceland freeze out Wales
 Women's Football News 3 Apr 2011
Wales went down to a 2-0 defeat to Iceland in the second match of their UEFA Women's Under-19 Championships second qualifying group in Llanelli.
A goal in each half gave Iceland victory as Jarmo Matikainen's side were unable to match their heroics when drawing with Germany in their opening game two days earlier.
Iceland took the lead in the ninth minute courtesy of Soley Gudmundsdottir and they sewed up the game midway through the second half with a Katrin Asbjornsdottir goal.
Wales now have to beat Turkey in their final group match on Tuesday to stand any chance of qualifying for the Finals.
Wales Under-19: Katy Maddock, Tija Richardson, Jasmin Dutton, Nia Jones, Lauren Price, Hayley Ladd, Megan Wynne (sub Ellie Curson 85mins), Josie Green, Hannah Keryakoplis (sub Angharad James 63mins), Rachel Rowe (sub Zoe Atkins 77mins), Ellis Parsons.
