Blackburn Rovers won the Lancashire County Cup for the seventh time in eight seasons with a 6-2 victory over Preston North End in the Final at Leyland.
Leading scorer Danielle Sheen gave Blackburn the lead on the quarter hour but Preston hit back to level the scores as Laura Walker netted direct from a free kick. Walker then put Preston in front from the penalty spot after Rhiannon Roberts had been penalised for handball, but Rovers grabbed an equaliser ahead of the break when Sheen slotted home her second goal.
After the break, Blackburn regained the lead through an own goal and then a fine strike from Amanda Goodwin made it 4-2.
Lizzie Ince marked her debut with a goal ten minutes from time and Sophie Lynch completed the victory for Blackburn with the sixth goal.
