Sheffield Wednesday Women FC is pleased to confirm a return to the city of Sheffield due to their unprecedented success in the FA Women's Cup this season.
The club can confirm that their Fifth Round tie on will be played on Sunday 13th March at the impressive Don Valley Stadium with a 2pm kick off. The game will also be used as a trial for a potential new home venue for the Owls from season 2011-12 onwards.
The tie against Bristol Academy sees the Owls Women return to their home City after a couple of seasons based in Worksop at the Sandy Lane ground. This season's remaining league programme in the Northern Combination will be played at Worksop.
Manager Adam Smallman said: "The team have done tremendously well to reach the last sixteen of the FA Cup and we wanted to pull out all the stops to make the game one to remember and maybe reach the quarter finals for the first time on our history. Securing Don Valley for this game and encouraging as many Wednesday fans to join us on the day can only boost our chances of success and introduce new faces to the women's game."
The Club is hoping for a good attendance and have offered free admission to all SWFC Season Ticket Holders (on display of current season ticket at turnstile), Under-16s and Sheffield Wednesday Ladies FC players will also gain free admission. They are also hopeful to have the Sheffield Wednesday Kop Band in attendance to make the game one to remember.
Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for OAPS, and a special Cup programme will be available for £2. For further information on the game, hospitality packages and match sponsorship, visit www.swwfc.net or contact the club at email@example.com.
