Brentwood Town's home shirts will be sponsored by The Co-operative Funeralcare for the next eighteen months after a deal was agreed with the firm recently.
Blues boss Ian Bent was delighted with the arrangement, which will also see the company sponsor the club's official website, www.brentwoodtownladiesfc.co.uk, and take out a half-page advert in the Eastern Region League Premier Division outfit's official matchday programme.
"It's fantastic to have The Co-Operative Funeralcare sponsoring the team, and everyone at the club is extremely grateful for their support," he said. "It's great to see a local company getting behind a local ladies football team, and hopefully this will be the start of a great partnership between us.
"Our new home kit now proudly wears the name of our sponsors, and this is further evidence of the progress the club has made, and continues to make, both on and off the pitch, and long may that continue," he added.
The sponsorship is worth £300 to Town, and Press & Publicity Officer Robert Craven was equally pleased to welcome the firm on board: "The club have made excellent strides on the field in winning promotion to the ERWFL Premier Division at the end of 2009-10 and competing so well at that level this season, and this deal marks the start of us mirroring that away from the pitch.
"The Co-operative Funeralcare is a nationwide company with a local feel, and that is really important to the club. I would like to pay credit to treasurer John Lovell and one of our players, Sophie Lovell, for their help in setting this up."
The Co-operative Funeralcare is the country's leading funeral director, with over 800 branches across the United Kingdom. The company's professional and caring staff are always available, including on their premises at 94 High Street, Brentwood, CM14 4AP between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Club captain Carla Rose presented a framed Brentwood Town Ladies shirt (pictured) bearing the name of the sponsors to Allison Stevens and Lynda Brown from The Co-operative Funeralcare before the match against Peterborough in the ERWFL Premier Division earlier this month.
Blues are still looking for sponsorship of their away kit and training kit for the remaining weeks and months of the current season and beyond. Interested companies should contact Press & Publicity Officer Robert Craven on (07545) 463872 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Town have a League Cup semi final to look forward to at the end of March, with the club also handily placed to enjoy a strong end to their first season in the ERWFL Premier Division as they sit sixth in the table, just six points behind leaders Barking. Sunday sees the side travel to Bedford for their latest league fixture.
