Lincoln Ladies are gearing up for a busy month in February, as preparations for the launch of the new FA WSL gather pace, with events at home and abroad keeping the girls busy over the coming weeks.
This Sunday (6th February) sees Lincoln Ladies take on Liverpool in a pre-season friendly at Lincoln Christ Hospital School, kick-off is 2pm and tickets are £2 for adults whilst kids can get in free.
Hot on the heels of this tough test, manager Rod Wilson will be taking his players for a week's training camp in Majorca on Monday 7th February, providing another great opportunity for team building and conditioning ahead of the launch of the new league in April.
Lincoln Ladies have also been continuing their valuable work in the community of late, with Lincolnshire FA Referee Development Officer and former Football League referee Phil Joslin joining the players to promote the Football Associations' Respect F.C. campaign.
Respect F.C. is an initiative setup to tackle bad behaviour by fans and players at all levels of football and to unite fans against the ugly side of the beautiful game to create a safe and enjoyable environment in which it can take place.
Every fan that joins the Respect FC, The FA has pledged to put £1 back into the Respect initiative within grassroots football (up to the value of £50,000). Members of the Club will be able to vote online at www.RespectFootballClub.com to say how this money is used at the end of the 2010-11 season.
