Reading FC Women bounced back from their defeat the previous Sunday to win 2-1 at Nottingham Forest and deal a blow to their opponents' National Division title aspirations.
Melissa Fletcher gave Reading a first half lead which was doubled after the break through an own goal by Kelly Finley. Suzanne Davies renewed hope for Forest as she reduced the arrears but the Berkshire side held on for a victory which takes them back above Forest and into second place.
The Leeds Utd revival continues and they consolidated their mid-table position by winning 3-0 at Watford. Jess Round, Tanya Rich and Chloe Foster all found the net to give Leeds their second victory in a row and keep themselves in fifth.
Barnet also made it two victories on the trot and they moved to within one point of Millwall Lionesses by beating them 3-1. Stacey Sowden's seventh minute strike was cancelled out shortly afterwards by Millwall's Lindsey Morgan, but Cheryl Williams ensured that Barnet were back in front midway through the first half. The game remained in the balance until injury time when Sowden netted her second to give the rejuvenated Bees increased hopes of climbing out of the bottom two.
