Brittany departs Plymouth
 Women's Football News 3 Jan 2011
Brittany departs Plymouth - 3 Jan 2011 - Women's Football NewsFollowing the news of the departure of Plymouth Raiders basketball star Cody Toppert for an Italian team, Plymouth Argyle Ladies FC also announce the loss of his wife Brittany Toppert, their influential midfielder, who naturally has to go with him.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Naturally it was a shock to hear of Brittany's departure at short notice. She has been an important member of our squad and one of our most consistent performers.
"Brittany is a very likeable and easy going girl and quickly made herself at home with her team mates. She will be missed as both a player and a person. We do have a very strong squad, and her leaving will give an opportunity to another player. With the team unbeaten this season we will be looking to kick on and make that elusive promotion place to the Premier League."
Plymouth are next in action in the FA Women's Cup Second Round away to Cornish rivals Newquay on 9th January following the Christmas break.
