Morecambe aim to keep Cup run going
 Women's Football News 12 Dec 2010
Morecambe are aiming to make a good impression when they take on Liverpol Feds in the F.A.Women's Cup First Round.
The North West League Division One high fliers travel to play their Northern Combination opponents and captain Jenny Keane confirms that her team are ready for the task. "We have already come a long way having played three games previously in the qualifying rounds," she says. "Now having reached the proper rounds, we are keener than ever!
"We have nothing to lose and want to prove we can match any side regardless of leagues and this is a perfect way to do that, in the FA Cup."
"This is an exciting game for Morecambe as we have never reached this stage of the Cup before and we are really looking forward to it," adds Sophie Fish. "Hopefully the game will be enjoyable and played in a sporting manner. Obviously we want to win but realise this is a step up for us, so it will be hard work."
Winger Gina Pendlebury admits: "We really can't wait for this game. Liverpool are a few divisions above us so we all realise it is not going to be easy, but we will be giving it our all."
