Hampshire Schools Under-16 Girls got their season underway with a convincing 5-0 victory over Middlesex in the Second Round of the ESFA National Competition.
Having by far the best of the opening minutes, it took Hampshire fifteen minutes to open the scoring through Millie Farrow, with her second attempt after good work from Rowan Treagus. Within a minute, they were two up when Farrow went on a solo run, giving the keeper no chance.
On 24 minutes, Molly Dineen was put through on the right and she gave the keeper no chance with a good shot into the top right hand corner of the net. The fourth came minutes later when Nicole Keen converted a corner from Shannon Sievewright.
The second half was more of an even game but Hampshire completed the score in the final minutes when Molly Dineen got her second with a great strike from the edge of the box.
Hampshire now meet Bedfordshire at home in the Third Round.
