Krystle sparkles as City march on
 Women's Football News 15 Nov 2010
Manchester City maintained their lead of seven points at the top of the Northern Division with a
3-1 victory over Rochdale.

Becky Lee gave City the lead midway through the first half and two goals after the interval from Krystle Johnston, taking her league tally for the season to six, sewed up the points for the league leaders before Steph Bell scored a last minute consolation for Dale.
Coventry City continue to head the chasing pack after they defeated Leeds City Vixens 4-1. Karen Clough gave the Sky Blues an early lead which was doubled ahead of the break by Callan Barber. Leanne Smith reduced the arrears for Leeds eight minutes after the restart but it was Clough's day and she went on to complete a hat-trick by netting twice in the dying minutes.
Derby County held on to third place with a 1-0 win against Aston Villa. A close game was decided in the seventeenth minute when Emily Jeffery scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
Leicester City leapt into fourth on the back of a 5-1 victory over Preston North End. Two good strikes by Natasha Meade and Courtney Sweetman-Kirk in the opening fifteen minutes set the Foxes on their way but Hannah Bailey quickly pulled one back for Preston with a blistering 25-yard shot. Straight after the interval, Meade grabbed her second before Natalie Reay made it a good run and strike in the 71st minute. With five minutes remaining, captain Chloe Jones completed the scoring by slotting home a penalty.
Curzon Ashton staged the comeback of the day to earn themselves a precious point in a 3-3 draw at Newcastle Utd. The home side took a second minute lead through Jessica Geoghegan and Beth Gardener extended their lead ten minutes later. Gardener made it three, early in the second half, but Curzon gave themselves hope when Rean Anderson pulled a goal back with twenty minutes remaining. In the last eight minutes, Nicky Maylett scored twice to give the Lancashire side a share of the spoils.
