The battle for the Scottish Women's Premier League title hotted up even further as the two title challengers once more recorded victories.
Glasgow City kept up their recent emphatic form in front of goal with a 16-0 victory over Aberdeen to keep themselves top of the table on goal difference. Suzanne Lappin (pictured) scored six times while Leanne Ross weighed in with a hat-trick. Ruesha Littlejohn and Lauren McMurchie both contributed doubles and the tally was completed by Rachel Corsie, Claire Johnstone and Emma Fernon.
Celtic meanwhile gained revenge for their recent Unite Scottish Cup defeat to Hibernian by winning their league meeting 2-0. Christie Murray netted both goals to keep the Hoops' title challenge on course.
Hibs' defeat gave Spartans the chance to go back into third place and they duly did so by beating Rangers 3-1. Diana Barry scored twice and Claire Crosbie the other for the Edinburgh side, with Cheryl Gallagher replying.
Hamilton Academicals moved a step closer towards a top half finish as they ran out 5-0 winners away to Dundee Utd SC. Susan Fairlie was on target twice along with Sam McManus, Gill Inglis and Lynsey Hogg.
Nikki Wright netted a brace as Forfar Farmington won 4-0 at Boroughmuir Thistle. Rebecca Dempster and Caren Webster added the other goals to help take their side into sixth.
Inverness came away from FC Kilmarnock with a 4-2 victory. Natalie Bodium scored twice along with Hannah Gordon and an own goal, with Darlene Campbell grabbing both goals for the home side.
