Arsenal captain Faye White was pleased with her side's 9-0 second leg victory in their UEFA Women's Champions League tie with ZFK Masinac.
The Gunners strolled through with a 12-1 aggregate win and Faye said afterwards: "I think everyone was more than up for it. We said in a little huddle before the game that we weren't pleased with the performance we put in out there [in the first leg] so in the first 20 minutes we set the tempo of the game.
"As the game went on, it was important because we've always been told not to concede and you never do want to concede."
With league football not starting until next March, Faye admitted that the lack of competitive matches had not helped in the first leg. "I actually enjoyed playing today and it's nice to enjoy playing a game," she said. "We've only played two games and after the last one, everybody came off the pitch unsatisfied with the way we had played.
"I feel as if I want more matches. Going away [with the England squad] for me and a few of the girls will help because we'll get competitive games. You can only do so much in training and this week our training leading into this game was really good.
"Our level and tempo was good and the players looked like they were hungry. When the harder games come, fitness wise we will have to push ourselves a bit more."
