Gillingham to play Chelsea
 Women's Football News 14 Oct 2010
Gillingham are to take on Chelsea in a friendly game in November.
Chelsea are one of a number of teams who will ply their trade in the newly formed Super League from March and travel to Kent as part of their pre-season build up.
The game follows hot on the heels of the successful friendly against Arsenal back in September which saw 317 people watch Arsenal beat the Gills 4-0.
The match will once again take place at the home of Chatham Town FC as the Gills look to show they can match the biggest teams in women's football.
Talking about the fixture, a delighted Director of Football Martin Andrews said: "We are pleased to welcome another Super League team to the Medway Towns.
"It is another chance for some of the finest players in England to showcase their talents. We hope that just like the Arsenal game, all generations of supporters will come along and watch this game.
"Hopefully they will again realise good women's football actually is. This is a massive game for not only Gillingham Ladies but for Women's football in Kent."
The match takes place on Wednesday 10th November (7.45pm) at Chatham Town FC, Maidstone Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 6LR. Admission prices are £3.50 adults and £1.50 concessions/under-16s in advance (£5 and £2.50 respectively on the night).
