Lionesses pounce for Kate - 2 Aug 2010 - Women's Football NewsMillwall Lionesses have signed England Under-23 striker Kate Longhurst from Watford.
The 21-year-old spent one season with the Hornets after starting her career with Colchester Utd, whom she helped rise up the women's football pyramid from the Eastern Region League to the Premier League.
Kate has also been capped by England at Under-17 and Under-19 level and recently appeared for her country in the Under-23 Four Nations Tournament at the University of Warwick.
Millwall manager Aidan Boxall said of Kate: "She is a striker who I have been looking to sign since last summer. She brings power and pace to our forward line with an exceptional work rate that we are looking for to help push on this season. We also hope to confirm other signings in the next ten days."
