West Ham United commenced their pre-season training programme with several new faces joining the first team squad at their Chadwell Heath training ground.
With three new signings already having put pen to paper, the Hammers are looking to build a squad to mount a title challenge after three consecutive top five finishes.
Former England Under-19 international Emma Thomas was the first of the trio to sign, marking a return to the Premier League for her following a spell with Enfield Town last season after she had left Watford.
Joanne Woodgates has ventured across the Thames to sign for the Hammers after appearing for both Millwall Lionesses and Crystal Palace last season, whilst ex-Charlton Athletic midfielder Stacey Little makes a similar geographic switch.
First team manager Julia Setford was pleased with the first week back, saying: "Already the squad is shaping up nicely and Emma, Joanne and Stacey should all bring new dimensions to our game this season."
However the Hammers are still on the look out for a goalkeeper for their reserve team to provide cover for first team keeper Toni-Anne Wayne. The Hammers' second string play in the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Division One South and interested keepers should contact the club via firstname.lastname@example.org.
