Arsenal pegged back but edge closer
 Women's Football News 7 May 2010
Arsenal are within one point of the National Division title following their 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Thursday night.
After a goalless first half, Corinne Yorston put the Gunners ahead on the hour but Blackburn battled back to earn themselves a fine result with an equaliser from Danielle Sheen.
Arsenal's two nearest rivals, Leeds Carnegie and Everton, met each other and honours were also shared as the game finished 1-1. Everton went in front in the 13th minute through Brooke Chaplen before Leeds levelled the scores just before half time with a goal from Steph Houghton.
Arsenal are due to meet Everton on Sunday and a draw will be enough to confirm them as Champions, whilst the Toffees effectively need six points from their final three games to take the runners-up spot - if they do not manage to overhaul the Gunners.
