City and Celtic stay neck and neck
 Women's Football News 3 May 2010
Rachel Corsie hit a hat-trick as Glasgow City won 8-0 at Boroughmuir Thistle to stay on top of the Scottish Women's Premier League.
Suzanne Lappin and Leanne Ross each weighed in with doubles and Lisa Evans added the other to keep City ahead as leaders on goal difference.
Celtic continue to keep pace with the reigning Champions and also have seven wins out of seven after beating Forfar Farmington 5-2.
Suzanne Grant kept up her fine form by scoring twice and she was joined on the scoresheet by Joanne Love, Amanda Burns and Stacey Cook as Celtic halted Forfar's run of four straight wins.
Rangers netted six without reply at FC Kilmarnock to keep themselves in third place. Cheryl Gallacher led the scoring with a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Jayne Sommerville, Lana Clelland and Louise Mason.
Spartans are a single point behind Rangers following their narrow 2-1 win against Dundee Utd SC. Hayley Lauder and Claire Crosbie were on target for the Edinburgh side with United replying through Tammy Harkin.
Inverness maintained their recent good run as they ran out 4-1 winners over Aberdeen. Leanne Calder and Natalie Bodiam both bagged doubles while Aberdeen's consolation came from Lynne Duncan.
The result of the day arguably went to Hamilton Academicals who won 3-2 away to Hibernian. Despite Debbie McWhinnie's brace for the home side, Hamilton took the points with goals from Nicky Grant, Susan Fairlie and Ashley McDonald.
