Barnet put themselves on the verge of the Southern Division title with a crucial 2-1 victory against rivals Portsmouth.
Stacey Sowden netted both goals for the Bees, taking her league tally for the season to 15, with Cassie Thorp scoring direct from a corner for Pompey on the hour mark.
West Ham Utd can no longer win the division but they strengthened their claims for the runners-up spot by coming from behind to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-1. After Jo Morris had given the Seagulls a first half lead, Gemma Shepherd levelled the scores after the break and Carly Roache put the Hammers in front a minute later. West Ham went on to seal the points late on with further goals from Becky Merritt and Shepherd.
Charlton Athletic continue to edge their way up the table and a top half finish is not out of the question for the Addicks following their 1-0 victory over Cardiff City. For the third match in a row, Gemma Bryan scored the only goal of the game, with seven minutes remaining to stretch Charlton's unbeaten run to nine matches.
Crystal Palace meanwhile celebrated their first victory of the season, a 1-0 London derby victory against Queen's Park Rangers. Abi Ingram grabbed the all-important goal to give Palace some belated joy.
