Manchester City moved to within a point of Northern Division leaders Liverpool, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Derby County.
Danni Young and Natalie Chapman scored the goals to give City their fifth win in a row to close the gap on the Reds, who had no game.
OOH Lincoln follow on in third place after they defeated Newcastle Utd 3-1. Kate Wooldridge gave the Lady Imps a third minute lead and they added further goals through Jodie Michalska and Stacey Aisthorpe, before Stacy Crooks grabbed a consolation for the Magpies.
Leicester City bounced back from their defeat the previous Sunday to win 3-1 away to Leeds City Vixens. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk put them ahead after 16 minutes following good work by Kirsty Robson and Natasha Meade. With fifteen minutes remaining, Meganne Paul equalised from a Katharine Bird corner and Stacey Daniels could have put the Vixens in front but for a fine save from Leanne Hall. The Foxes though nosed in front in the 81st minute with a great piece of individual play by Katie Lowder, beating three players on the wing to square the ball for Rachel Stowell to slot home. Player of the match Lowder then picked up a ball from Nicole Dale to slam home Leicester's third and wrap up the game for the visitors.
