Glasgow's European challenge
 Women's Football News 29 Jul 2009
Glasgow's European challenge - 29 Jul 2009 - Women's Football NewsGlasgow City, Scotland's treble winners, have headed out to Lithuania to compete in their qualifying group in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
City's first match is against Bayern Munich at the City Stadium in Siauliai, Lithuania, on 30th July. They will then face Lithuanian Champions and group hosts Ginta Universitetas two days later and finally Georgian side Norchi Dinamoeli on Tuesday 4th August.
City have an incredibly tough draw, most notably in German giants Bayern Munich, but the Scots hope to emulate last year's successes, when they became the first Scottish women's team to ever reach the last sixteen - a remarkable feat given their amateur status against an elite group of professionals.
