Newcastle guests of honour - 9 Jun 2009 - Women's Football NewsMembers of Newcastle United Women's squad attended Ashington Phoenix GFC's end of season presentation evening where they were invited to honour all of the club's members by presenting them with mementos of their season.
Newcastle players Ruth Sutcliffe, Amber Whiteley and Claire Pitt were thrilled to be on hand to present awards and to sign autographs for Ashington Phoenix Girls.
Club Spokesman Paul Armstrong said: "We were pleased to be asked to attend the girls presentation evening, the three squad members who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves meeting all of these up and coming starlets. We would like to thank Gary Trewick, the club chairman, for asking us along to be a part of their celebrations."
