Everton midfielder Michelle Evans was celebrating after winning the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Player of the Month award for January.
The England Under-23 international's outstanding performances helped Everton to three wins in as many fixtures during the month. Her impressive displays saw Everton progress to the quarter finals of the FA Women's Cup with back-to-back 4-0 victories against WFC Fulham and Manchester City. She capped a thrilling month by netting in the comprehensive 7-0 league victory over Nottingham Forest to leave her team nicely poised in the hunt for both league and cup silverware.
Peter Hough, Chairman of The FA Tesco Women's Premier League, said: "Michelle has been a fantastic addition to the Everton team since she arrived from Tranmere Rovers and her recent performances from the left of the midfield have helped Everton gain some impressive results. She has the ability to deliver real quality from wide areas and also weighed in with some goals of her own during January."
The FA Tesco Women's Player of the Month award is decided by nominations from clubs in the FA Tesco Women's Premier League and England coaching staff.
