London FA is pleased to announce that they will be running a qualifying Futsal League for women.
The team which wins the league will go forward to the FA Futsal Cup Finals in Sheffield later in the year.
Futsal is growing ever more popular in this country and it is great for improving quick movement, close control, dribbling, passing and movement. Futsal is played indoors with a slightly heavier ball and is made up of a team of five.
The league will take place on Wednesdays from 7-9pm at Moberly Sports Centre, The Quadrant, Kilburn Lane, W10 4AH. It will run for 11 weeks from 11th March, with the first week being an introduction to Futsal and giving teams the opportunity to try out their skills. There is a small fee to enter and this is £50 per team.
Natalie Huntley, Women's & Girls' FDO for North London, says: "This is a great opportunity for women to experience Futsal. The sport is growing in popularity and we hope to use this competition to help develop it further."
