Only one match went ahead in the league on Sunday and it saw Middlesbrough receive a setback to their title challenge as they went down 1-0 to Scunthorpe Utd. Donna Smithson scored the only goal of the game for Scunthorpe, which means that 'Boro sit ten points off the pace.
Copsewood (Coventry) were handed a jolt to their title challenge afer they were beaten 2-1 by Radcliffe Olympic in the battle of the two newly promoted sides.
Emma Clarke gave Radcliffe the lead shortly before half time and Sarah Green added the second from the penalty spot. Copsewood pulled a goal back but Radcliffe stood firm and saw the game out for only their second league win of the season.
South West Combination
Yeovil Town are now just one point off the pace following their 5-0 victory away to Swindon Town. Anusia Rourke led the scoring for Yeovil with a hat-trick and further goals came from Jemma Tewksbury and Kayleigh Nardiello.
Forest Green Rovers meanwhile stepped up their challenge with a 7-2 success at Oxford City. Phil Helliwell was on target four times while strike partner Charlotte King weighed in with a hat-trick.
Kate Bowers was another player to bag a hat-trick, for Chesham Utd who were 6-1 winners over Reading Royals. Anneka Nuttell added a brace and Shantelle Woodward completed the scoring.
