WFC Fulham knocked Bristol Academy out of the Premier League Cup on penalties to set themselves up with a quarter final tie against Chelsea.
Lauren Phillips gave Fulham a first half lead which was cancelled out before half time by Kerrie Manley. Fulham went back in front just after the hour through Brett Burns with Corinne Yorston once again equalising against her former club. Extra time could not decide a winner and the 2-2 scoreline ensured a penalty shootout, from which Bristol missed two kicks to send the Whites into the last eight.
Leicester City have made it into the quarter finals at the first attempt and a plum home tie against Arsenal awaits them following their 3-1 victory away to Millwall Lionesses. Louise Fellows put Leicester in front with Carly Eagles levelling the scores ahead of the break. Leicester captain Remi Allen scored from the penalty spot midway through the second half and Fellows wrapped up the win in the dying minutes with her second goal.
Doncaster Rovers Belles complete the quarter final line up and their 4-0 success at Nottingham Forest earns them a home tie with Watford. Vicky Exley netted the only goal of the first half for the Belles and the former England midfielder doubled their advantage five minutes after the break. Liz Hanson added a third in the 65th minute and Rachel Williams completed the win late on.
Revised quarter final draw:
Portsmouth v Preston North End
Leicester City v Arsenal
Chelsea v WFC Fulham
Doncaster Rovers Belles v Watford
to be played on 2 November
