Celtic's winning start in the Scottish Women's Premier League was halted as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Spartans.
Celtic goalkeeper Claire Johnstone saved a penalty in the opening five minutes and she saw her side go ahead shortly before the interval when Joanne Love scored from close range. However after the break, Hayley Lauder earned Spartans a share of the spoils with an equaliser and the Edinburgh side could well have taken all three points as they missed another penalty before the end of the game.
Glasgow City closed to within one point of the leadership with a 3-0 victory away to Aberdeen. Suzanne Lappin headed Glasgow into a first half lead before Megan Sneddon added a second with a long range drive and Rachel Corsie completed the win by scoring against her former club.
Hibernian got themselves back on track by running out 6-1 winners away to Forfar Farmington, a result which lifts them into third place in the table.
Dundee Utd SC celebrated their first ever win in the Premier League, a 1-0 success at Hamilton Academicals. Emma Stewart netted the only goal of the game for United, midway through the second half.
The two teams at the foot of the table met each other on Sunday and both sides are still seeking their first victory after Boroughmuir Thistle and Raith Rovers battled out a 1-1 draw.
The league will take a break this week due to Scotland's Euro 2009 qualifying group match against Slovakia.
