Leeds Carnegie ended their four-match winless run with a 3-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers Belles in their Yorkshire derby match.
Sue Smith opened the scoring for Leeds in the third minute with Steph Houghton adding a second before half time, with Smith wrapping up the scoring during the second half.
Blackburn Rovers also lifted themselves into mid-table, thanks to a 2-1 win away to Liverpool. Natalie Preston gave Blackburn the lead ten minutes before half time and, early after the restart, Chantelle Parry doubled their advantage against her old club. Cheryl Foster pulled a goal back for the Reds with seven minutes remaining but Blackburn held on to take the points.
