City move to top - 8 Sep 2008 - Women's Football NewsManchester City are the new leaders of the Northern Division following their 2-0 victory away to Rotherham Utd.
Charlotte Farrell netted both goals to give City their second win in four days and see themselves open up a lead of two points.
A late equaliser pegged back OOH Lincoln as Reading FC Women fought back to earn themselves a 1-1 draw. Reading held firm until ten minutes from time, when a pinpoint cross from Amanda Barr was volleyed home by Jodie Michalska. Lincoln looked to heading towards their fourth straight win but Reading levelled the scores as Emma Pearmine's cross was headed firmly in by Natasha Caswell, the first goal the Lady Imps have conceded this season.
Leicester City moved back into third place, thanks to a 4-1 win against Tranmere Rovers. Louise Fellows, Hannah Smith, Jade Radburn and Remi Allen were all on target for Leicester with Rachel Rigby replying.
