Champions Glasgow City kept up their good start to the new season and maintain the leadership of the Scottish Women's Premier League following their 5-1 victory over Hamilton Academicals.
Suzanne Lappin headed Glasgow into a first half lead which the midfielder doubled early in the second half. Leeanne Campbell added the third from the penalty spot and Ruesha Littlejohn also found the net before Lappin completed her hat-trick with the final goal.
Celtic continue to keep pace with Glasgow and are level on points with the leaders, but were made to work hard for their 1-0 victory over Forfar Farmington. Clare Gemmell scored the only goal of the game for the Hoops, in the seventh minute.
Spartans notched up an 8-3 victory away to Boroughmuir Thistle, which lifts them into third place. FC Kilmarnock also won for the first time this season, 3-1 against Raith Rovers.
A first half goal condemned Hibernian to their second defeat in three matches, beaten 1-0 by Aberdeen. The decisive strike came just before half time as Nikki Wright set up Neda Djahansouzi to score but the Dons needed to defend stoutly against second half Hibs pressure in order to secure their first ever victory over the former Champions.
