After a disappointing season and subsequent relegation from the FA Women's Premier League, Crewe Alexandra are now rebuilding with a view to bouncing back to the top flight at the first attempt.
In a progressive move, the club has brought in a new management/coaching team. Jon Bartlett and Callum Walsh are recent graduates from John Moore University and are professional coaches, employed at the Liverpool FC academy, working with some of the best coaches in Europe.
There have been a number of players who have left the club during the summer, mainly due to moving away to university and whilst there have been a number of new players joining the club, it has not been enough to keep two squads running. It is a high priority to recruit new players and keep the development team in operation.
"We are particularly interested in hearing from players who want to try and test themselves at a higher level or from senior players who feel they can add experience and stability to a young team," said club chairman Russ Edwards.
"We are a friendly club with a commitment to developing players. The club has recently applied for an Awards for All grant which will fund several community projects."
