Leeds Carnegie Ladies continue their pre-season warm-up with their only home game before the regular season starts, at Tadcaster Albion's ground on Sunday when their opponents will be local rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
As well as being a chance for the players to show their worth to the manager before the season gets underway, it's also a chance for fans to see some of the club's new signings.
"Last season went on a bit longer that it should," said Leeds manager Rick Passmoor. "Postponed games earlier in the year meant we didn't finish until mid-May, so this has been one of the shortest closed seasons we've had, but the players have had well deserved breaks over the summer and we are getting back into the swing of things.
"I am still missing a few of the regulars, and we also have Carly Telford, Jess Wright, Nicole Emmanuel, Sophie Walton and Ellen White with long term injuries, so this has been a good chance to let reserves, devs and the odd trialist show me what they can do.
"I want a squad of players capable of playing good football all season long and beat last season's points tally, and pre-season games are a good way of seeing who can do that."
Entrance to Sunday's game is free, and it kicks off at 2pm.
