A battling Scotland side lost 3-0 to hosts Sweden in their opening game of the Under-23 Nordic Tournament.
Despite coming up against one of the strongest teams in the womens' international game, Scotland put in a positive overall performance in their first ever match at this level.
Madelaine Edlund opened the scoring for Sweden on 37 minutes, with Nazanin Vaseghpanah (50) and Emma Stålhammar (59) getting on the scoresheet in the second half. Scotland steadied in the last half hour and kept a very impressive Swedish side at bay for the rest of the game.
Head coach Ann-Helen Graham told www.scottishfa.co.uk: "Despite losing the game we can be happy with the team performance overall. The players adapted well to the new team set up and improved as the game went on. We were particularly pleased with the performance in the last 30 minutes."
